Yes, and you all know why. Shepherd is starting to expand (to a smaller degree) like Cleveland.

Shepherd will be going back up, only thing that can save them is starting a 7A division. We are getting our fair share of move in's like Cleveland has. 

I hate to tell you but the Trojan's do not have the same type of kids they had back in the 80', 90's and early 2000's. Not bashing but just not the same. We used to think of Coldspring as always reloading. Now it's a game that we think we can win every year. But you are correct the right coach could help change things, if that is what's the biggest problem.

59n Sports, yes the AD is a very loyal person to the students and his coaching staff, heck of a guy. I have sat and talked with him a bunch nothing but respect for him and his family. He is very good for Shepherd. The 1 coach is the same, and the players love him. The new one, I hear nothing but great things about. My daughter has him in class and says he is a great person and teacher. And for her to say that speaks volumes. Agree on all accounts. I do understand about the hometown politics, everybody has them. Look at WOS this year!!

With some of the coaches Coldspring has on the staff, they will get that defense turned around. Coldspring pretty much has 2-3 defensive coordinators on that staff. 

I think tarkington would be flattered to have an 8 page topic on them until they found out it was just an 8 page argument on Briles

Not at all!! But should somewhat try to stay on topic. But who am I to say. The holy one 89Falcon spoke. 

I don't disagree with yours or pairiemans' post at all. I think what some of these folks are trying to get at is why does Tarkington go thru so many coaches? It may be just a stepping stone like has been said. Above you mentioned some of the smaller schools that do and have had dry years no doubt (God know Shepherd has been going thru one for a couple years), but some of those schools still have the same AD/HC. So is it the parents? Is it not winning? Is it the school board? Or what is the problem? Just trying to figure that out.
You know there are folks on here given the chance could solve the entire world's problems (they and their town are just that great) but don't let them get to you. Most of the guys from the bigger cities do not get country life, so instead of trying to understand they throw insults because that is what they do. 

Parents is what I have been told. For a team that does not win on the Football field, the parents seem to think they have more D1 talent than 6A schools do. You know it is never that the kids just aren't good enough, its got to be the coach. Tarkington could hire any SEC Head Coach and he would be ran out of town within two years. 

Good God would they please hurry up with this hire. lol, 23 pages. Yes I know I can just hit the back button, but it is kinda like a train wreck you just can't not look.

I do believe Shepherd will get some sort of break this next alignment Tarkington numbers are higher that the past, as well as diboll.. Coldspring at 492, I can see some changes coming
