1. Not surprised that EC won, but very surprised that Anahuac didn't make it a close game.

3. Cleveland still hasn't recovered from the coaching change.  Not that Maples is a bad coach, they are on their way back, but they are not in Coldspring's league at this point.  Coldspring by 24
4. What happened the 1st half?  Was Shepherd's D pretty good, or did your guys go in too confident of a win?  I was shocked at the halftime score but was sure the Falcons would soar back in the 2nd half. Congrats on the win HHS, & congrats to the Pirates for making the game exciting.
5. Hey, I think CS is just that strong. Barbay does sub pretty early-- let's his RBs get their yds then sends in subs. That program will be strong for some time to come. I don't like one-sided scores; seen plenty against our team. That's a whole other discussion.
6. Coldspring, we know, is state championship caliber. Huffman always fields a good team, & Liberty & Cleveland have potential. Tarkington has no size, no speed, no Larrys or Joes. But this year their freshmen played with CS & beat Liberty's JV. The MS teams have won or competed every week. I'm wishing this football program a big turn-around, & that in a year or two a thread with Tarkington in it will have real meaning & not just be full of ridicule.
I hope so but not real sure we are at a place we were last year. Only solid club we have played is Kpark and they got bombed last night by Summer Creek. Hard to say but kids play hard and we know you  guys are loaded. You dont have to tell me how good Cspring is saw the titel game last year. The qb for Carthage is at etbu this year. Anyway all the best to you guys and see you down the road.
I'm not from CS, but I do appreciate good football and a solid program.  Coldsprings embodies that this year.  Their championship run has given them another dimension, swagger.  And I don't mean cockiness--just pure confidence.
9. It's just Splendora's time to take a beating.

11. Congrats to a talented young man & a great football team & program!
12. Beech--not jealous, just bored with that conversation.  It has dominated all 22AAA threads.  I congratulate you guys who have teams that will compete for runners up in the district this year.
13. OMG, Liberty & Huffman fans, give it a rest. Your game is over for the year. If your teams are as good as you proport, they need to take care of business for the rest of the year & represent 22 3A well in the playoffs. Or start your own thread to keep arguing so those interested in the games of the week don't have to abide your vitriol.

16.
Coldspring will be in Jerry's World come December.....
Agreed!  CS operated like a well-oiled machine, looked even stronger than last year. Hopefully, they will bring a state championship back to SE TX.
17. Why in the world did y'all pick this game to air?  Everyone knew it would be lop-sided, Tarkington included.  :-\

19. Not impressed by a good team running up the score on a decidedly weaker team. I don't think, especially at the start of a game, a coach should hold his players back, BUT 4 onside kicks. Classless.
20. Dayton's has had its work cut out with quality preseason teams, but it will just make them stronger in district and post-season.  Good luck Broncos.
