Well 1964 Vidor went 12-0-1 they tied New Braunsfel in the state championship game. Vidor was coached by Edgar Payne who brought them to the state championship. Payne was there for only two years and left. Payne what I can see went off to coach at Mcmurray and then Texas Tech. He didn't coach high school football anymore in Texas. Bridge City 1966 They had Steve Worster that went to play at UT. Their Head Coach was HW Chief Wilson he went 80-43-6 with one championship. Im guessing you wanted information on there coaches.

Well if you count before the 1977 rule. Vidor and BC have already been to the state championship game. But yes I think LCM had one chance to make it all the way and they ran into Lamarque. I believe that Bridge City did make it to the state Semi in the early 2000 if my memory is correct. Coaching is a problem, but when you have superintendents that makes your defensive coordinator go sit in the box because he's yelling to much is also a problem. I don't think superintendents should be telling a head coach if you make it to one play off game and everything will be okay. Also to get a good coach you have to let the coaches coach from the fan base I agree with that. The kids have to be 100% in with working out and watch game film. Most kids in orange county are probably inside playing video games.

Yes Willis beat us in 94. Our starting running back was injured. But Willis ended up losing the next week. No we did not win a state championship just a district championship. Cubby lol I like that

I can’t find any 94 district shirts or I would wear one lol. Bo Louis is the one that went about 60 yards on them. I watched the game and no doubt they had talent. LCM scored the most on them during the playoffs and I truly believe if we could have gotten over them we might have made it all the way. Years like that is when I want to combine your missing a couple guys here and there to make it all the way. LCM and WOS both only field about 30 kids each. I went to see Carthage play they looked like a 5a 50 plus kids on the sideline.

Oh no problem it was a long time ago. Early 80’s and mid 90’s were better years for the Bears. Under Crouch we have only had 1 7-3 season 2010 everything else is 5-5 and below mediocre. The 94 team was special and WOS came in 2nd in district behind us. To bad we couldn’t have joined teams to take on Lamarque lol

I assuming your saying LCM beat WOS was some of kind of way was a surprise?. Those two teams that beat WOS were very good teams. 1983 Bears played jasper that year. Jasper beat lcm with a late minute field goal to win the district championship 14-16. The 1994 team was faster and bigger then WOS that year. That has been the last time we really outmatched them on the field. The 1997 Team played them a tight game but couldn't beat them and we both ending up loosing to Lamarque. I just watched the 97 highlight where WOS lost the week prior to Lamarque and came to our pep rally to support us to beat them. Those were good years.

Bridge City has always been LCM rival since the early 80’s. WOS vs LCM had few good games mid 90’s but there is no lie WOS has owned LCM. Now if we talk baseball and softball it might be the other way around lol

I really don't know what Bridge City has coming back? After Dubois left it went back to the same ole same o. I think Lumberton lost some of there oline and a running back. But will they be able to throw the ball??? Splendora I know lost some but im going to have to figure out who they lost because they don't have a lot of support on this message board. Livingston I think will be better and maybe win a game this year. LCM will have a lot of returners and Id expect good things if the kids don't underachieve. LCM lost some coaching staff so that could be a little difference. Huffman is kind of like Splendora they don't have a lot of support on this board. . Huffman has LCM number since we have been in district and I have no idea what they have coming back.. But yes our district is less interesting we don't have any State contenders. We also don't have a lot of Rah Rah guys that support their schools on here in our district. LCM fans are scared to talk but they do a lot of talking in the stands Friday night.
