IMO an accurate assessment,however in an injury-free game I'll take Ozen by at least 1....If one team gets hot, it could be a double digit win.

Please update the location when confirmed.....Going back to home and home (IMO) takes away from the playoff atmosphere the Montagne offers... Parking will be horrible for a game of this magnitude(attendance) at Central,adequate but too spread out....jmo...

Ozen has had tremendous success winning every year 1999-2016. Its human nature to want that if you're an opposing(local) team/fan(more so) and what would be better than hanging a lost them(Ozen). Two years ago LCM did it in district play and they all but had a parade in that city. The true difference between victory and moral victory.So "beating" someone around here(Ozen) isnt winning state but it would feel good i suppose. Dont count the chickens before they hatch stuff happens. Good luck to all 22-5A teams....jmo....

Going toe to toe with your oppoent counts only in boxing...Playing to single digit loses in games is still a lost not a tie or a win...If you want style points to be considered for playing a close game institute a gymnastics program...Grasping for recognition, just win one soon...No pund intended...Be back later popcorn break...jmo...

Ozensfinest the same starter that was missing in the first Central/Ozen game may be missing again for a different reason this time. He didnt play against Nederland and was suited up sitting on the bench. His presence was needed against Nederland and without him against Central Tuesday could be a difference maker. He was a physical presence at Cypress Hoops against those tough 6A schools. We shall see.....Nederland wasnt in the same conversation with Central/Ozen when they were having growing pains in predistrict with loses to: Nov.17-Taaps 5A Kelly 56-53 Nov.24- 4A Hardin Jefferson 54-47 Dec.4- Private School Louisiana Christian 61-56 2A-Big Sandy (Hardin Jefferson Marathon Finals) District play brings about a change.......

Speaking of an unpopular statement, "This is a Come on Man Moment"... "Let's keep it real" ok we all know the game is played on the court and everything is possible in district play. Taking nothing away from the efforts performed....Central,Ozen and Nederland will play each other like it's a playoff game with a playoff atmosphere.Nederland has renewed confidence after playing Ozen to a 5 point decision. If Central controls the tempo it will not be a 5 point game and thats not sugar coating it.... jmo

The Woodlands(17-5) unranked gave #1 State ranked # 3 National ranked Atascocita(21-0) fits-(80-69) 11point game on the road this past Tuesday(1-5-16) will the Woodlands be ranked next week, my guess not likely......District play for the top 4 teams in the district is usually very competitive the state ranking you have means very little other than it gives your opponent added incentitive to bring their "A" game and try harder to defeat you...jmo...

Just like I predicted, district play in 22-5A Ozen/Nederland dog fight to the end.Congrats to both teams for a great effort.

It's district play all teams will bring their "A" game, sleeping on anyone is foolish. No pep talk will be needed, typical Panther- Bulldog battle to the end of the game.....

"Correction" Ozen Whitney Bernard did not play at all,great game Lady Panthers without a key member not playing.

Lady Ozen Panthers played the first half minus star player Whitney Bernard. Congrats on keeping the game close(26-26) at the half. Second half her(Whitney Bernard) presence was a plus in helping defeat a good #9 ranked Lumberton Raider team that was undefeated(20-0) on the year.
