Couldve fooled me I assumed basketball season was over,6 and 12 sports at 10pm covered soccer tonight. Only mentioned East Chambers Sutherland got his 700th win tonight. No mention of area district scores. Ozen Lady Panthers(25-4)(13-1) won 22-5A district title tonight thought maybe that was news worthy. # 24 Nederland was upset tonight guess that wasnt news worthy either. Oh well they do a great job most nights.

Senior Night at Ozen it was announced if my hearing is correct Ozen has won 4 consecutive District Championship thats including tonight....

Ozen has a freshman guard that could start on any team in 22-5A. The future for the next 2 years looks promising in Panther-land...jmo...

If i were a gambling person my money would be on no 4th game to decide seeding. Only possible meeting this season will be if im correct is region 3 finals.....So flipping with be the call if it comes to that. Still 3 district games to play,crazy stuff happens.....

Can district play get wrapped up before hateration start selecting second round opponents to attempt to dethrone an already successful season experienced by Ozen,Central and Nederland. Put Bush, Elkins and whoever on the back burner.Support our local teams stop hating. Its all speculation at this point who plays who in the playoffs. Good luck to all 22-5A playoff teams....

LoL so for 1 Shocked and 1 Surprised smh...So i guess next it'll be an upset of sorts. The last meeting a buzzer beater win for Central was a tough pill to swallow after Ozen was leading by a dozen in the 3rd. Ozen is still capable of making a run in the playoffs dont under estimate the heart of a champion. They've been battle tested this year. ..Cricketsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss..... BrB making hot buttered popcorn for the recap and the excuses and the bad refs etc.

Well stuff happens 2 good teams squared off and settled it on the floor and not on paper or this forum. Ozen isnt Ozen of the pass but you cant sleep on them. Great game some mental erros at the end made it closer than it shouldve been but the"W" was attained. Congrats Ozen. Haterade will be flowing on here the rest of the week...jmo.. No dog in the fight just call like i see it. Both teams get ready for the playoffs 22-5A strong.

You said a mouth full as the old folks would say and it's all on point. Some cant handle the truth or dont want to believe the truth. Ozen football will continue to be sub par and the student athletes will continue to opt to go to Westbrook zoned or not. We've been unable to locate a final score on this game.It's safe to say Ozen got the W otherwise it wouldve been breaking news...... #20-5A Beaumont Ozen(23-4)(11-1) will face Beaumont Central(n/a)(11-1) friday at Ford Park for the district 22-5A title@ 6pm....

His game plan worked first quarter(7-7)and part of the second quarter. Central then took total control of the tempo and it was too much speed,length and finesse.The better team won hands down. Phil Jackson could've coached Nederland last night, the end results wouldnt have changed.

This past season Ozen freshman team played a few games then the numbers dwindled, then they went 0-10 for the season. This past season Ozen JV went 1-9 with 25 to 29 players The program was already on life support due to hand full of players on varsity. To opt to stay in 5A by the AD and Administration of managers is a come on man moment. Its no way they can compete with Nederland, Central, PNG, Memorial Going1-9 or 2-8 is a real possibility. I wish them the best. Its no surprise someone wants them to fail. Its no way they should be a 5A football team.Smh....

This district race is primed for an upset, rivalry games have been so close in the margin of victory and defeat. Prediction, the winner by 7+

I realize the possibility of the UIL denying Ozen's petiton to opt up to stay in 5A is very slim to none. In my opinion it's a travesty to the kids by not dropping to 4A.They would get a better chance to compete in football on the 4A level. It should always be about the kids and not about coaches being familiar with the teams they currently play in 5A. The community would be revived and pride restored.There's currently very low attendance at Ozen's games home or away. Travel is not that much of a difference to make a difference. Tomorrow will tell.....jmo....
