Silsbee, PNG Cancelled

This will be a game where both teams are looking for answers after talent graduated. While both teams are wanting the win, both teams are looking for improvement from the two scrimmages. Silsbee may have an edge in the skill positions and PNG may have an edge in lineman. Both teams are looking for an improved defense. Silsbee will travel to the Reservation against a very hostile crowd and play in one of the most lop sided stadiums in SETX, where most will say the visiting team is down seven points when they get off the bus. What questions will get answers and what improvements will get improved. How will the Silsbee new coaches and new offense and defense react. Two teams with great tradition and history are playing in week one is just one game of several great week one games in SETX. I think there will be a few points scored in this opening season game and of course I'm a homer and pick Silsbee in a good close game. Silsbee 33 PNG 31. TigerNation!!!

First off I'd like to offer prayers to the injured tonight. Ozen freshman who was carted off the field by ambulance, Silsbee JV QB (broke clavicle) and Ref who hurt his leg. Ozen offense needs timing and it will be fine, they do have some size on both sides of the ball. Silsbee offense looked better, running the ball and passing as needed. Ok, for the complete schedule, the freshman and JV will start @ 3 and then the varsity @ 4.

I think the last freshman team to play PNG is this year senior? That would have Partain at QB and McCain at RB.

Until we get several games under our belt and see how we react, all teams will be a barometer for us. I like what I see from the team. It may take is until district before we start getting comfortable with this new system. I believe that when we do get comfortable and confident we have the players to do good things.

Lowe, not a concussion, hoping to get a release soon. Hopefully Mackey returns soon also. Newton, Hagon, and Caldwell got nicked up also. Looking to have them ready to go soon. Tigernation!!!

In that game WOS DE played out wide almost over the slot backs. Very rarely did they play in tight. With the speed WO had at DE they cover the quick passes to the slots and crashed in on run plays. With Silsbee's speed at WR this allowed WOS to keep their DBs back and outside for the deep ball. This is why Silsbee was most successful running inside and not outside. Good game plan.

Not worried about WOS right now. Working on the task at hand and tomorrow. Games will come in due time.

They don't leave when they get there. They have a long break from outside to inside. The have film/meeting from 12 to 2.

A students success depends on three things. The teacher, the student, and the parents. If one of these does not give 100% it is hard to have success and the if that happens the student always suffers. The most important part of these is the parents. If the parents don't care, don't discipline, don't teach to respect authorities then the students suffers. Then the teacher has to spend extra time with said child and less time we the class room, and the teacher suffers. I would say 99% of the teachers care and want to see the student be successful and the parents care then you have a start to a successful school.
