1. Dayton:  Dekaney, Manville, PA Memorial....BH if we aren't in the same district.
 2. Dayton cracked the Dirty Dozen for the first time in about a million years.  Way to go guys.
 3.
This is an interesting post considering that you told me last week that no rumors are allowed on any of these message boards.  This is the double standard that I was referring to in our earlier discussions.  Rumors are not allowed, unless the mods allow them.  Is that how it goes??
Double Secret Probation coming soon...

I can't have my own spot in the poll ;D
Sorry man just thought of yall as the BH duo....whos Batman whos Robin?
More like who's pitching and who's catching.

Im not a bh fan by any means but his numbers speak for themselves. I know I gave him a hard time throughout the year but that was just smack would have loved him on the bronx.
Nice post and we are all SMACK talkers, it all goes with being competitive.  I think it is pretty obvious that there were some "deals" made to get some of these kids names on the list. It appears to start with some of the First Team Defense and MVP.  I am shocked that Garrett Dolan is not there and even more shocked that Newcomb wasn't MVP and that Duke isn't on First Team Offense ...... These picks are "fishy" (Big Time).
I know, you are not serious.
Don't think any "deals" were made.  I do agree that Dolan should have been on the 1st Team.  Not to knock any of the other LBs on that list, but he was one of the best players on the field in every game that I watched BH play.
 6.

Dave Campbell shows first place PAT's at 267 for a career and 227 for second place???  Which is correct ???
As soon as liltex sees your question he will know.. he is an avid follower of Juan.
Did his brother Jorge have more PAT's than Juan?  He was on some teams that scored a ton of touchdowns.  Something seems a little off.  There should be more than one Carranco in the top 5.
 7. Go get it Broncos.  The Dude will be rooting you on from the stands.  Keep that confidence level high and keep the run going. Big players make big plays in big games.  Get your heads right and take it to Manvel.
 8. From BHFAN: BH kicked your rear just like Manvel is going to. Oh and this BH team that isn't even in your league beat you 5 out of 8 times in football this year from 7th to Varsity This is why this gift will keep on giving.
 9. Keep running that head BHFAN.  I don't know why you are upset, we gave you one of our  playoff wins.  Some folks can never be satisfied.  Just know that all your whining will not necessarily result in us letting you have another one.

Manvel will not lose unless they beat themselves
The Manvel fans I talked at our game were not so quick to dismiss the broncos, as a matter of fact, they were quite impressed. We as fans love to think we can't be beat, but reallity is , it can happen at any time. Look at Dayton , we lost to BH, a team that 9 out of 10 games we demolish. They are not even in our league. Friday night we will see a very competitive ball game, the team that does not turn the ball over will win. There will not be a blow out, it will come down to conditioning and exicution, and I like the Broncos chances.
BH kicked your rear just like Manvel is going to. 11. And once more, this one goes to the top because BHFAN needs a thread to post in.
 12.
Reality starts this week for the Bronco's, your back to playing real teams like BH and GCM ;D Manvel by 75
Good to see that Bhfan is still on his daily regimen of bronco envy. I'd say reality is five straight trips to the third round.
 13.
I have not seen Manvel play.. nor do i know how big they really are.. But from reading things about them on here.. They are BIG... and maybe when they play teams they try to throw out a intimidation factor. perhaps maybe a bully style intimidation.  IF this is their style of playing, I don't think it will work on the Broncos. JMO
You're right.  Broncos don't get intimidated.  We love a good fight.
 14. I'm interested to see this matchup.  The broncos have played to the level of competition all year long, the better the opponent, the better the performance.  I'm looking forward to watching the broncos take it up to another level this Friday. Am I getting this right?  The Mavericks whose mascot brings to mind a loose steer or wild west cowboy chant an American Indian war cry of Hoka Hey.  This would be like the Broncos chanting Acme Glue Factory.  Sounds like a case of the Chaz Bono's to me.
 15. You forgot the threads where Dayton fans take shots at Barbers Hill for not winning in the playoffs.  That easily pushes the count up to 10.

 17. Don Price.  Don Price. [move] Don Price[/move] Come on coogs, do this one thing for me and I promise to call you cougars instead of goobers.
 18. I like how the Broncos get a little better each week.  Heck of a thing to watch.
 19.
are you guys really having a serious conversation about kids transferring for athletic purposes only...isn't that illegal?
Players only transfer to Dayton because of the stellar academics at DISD.  Not sure what goes on at all the other schools.
 20. It might make 54 pages.  There is an entire year until the question gets answered.
 21. [Hidden Content] Fullback brings his power lifts to OU By GUERIN EMIG World Sports Writer Published: 11/15/2011  2:24 AM Last Modified: 11/15/2011  4:41 AM NORMAN - Aaron Ripkowski was literally born to play fullback for Mike Ditka. Or maybe Bret Bielema. "Sounds like he ought to play for Wisconsin," Bob Stoops cracked recently. That Ripkowski is at Oklahoma instead makes him the most aptly named Sooner of the Stoops era. He's a 6-2, 255-pound slab of concrete with a buzz-cut mohawk whose only job is to come into the game when Blake Bell does, then punish defenders as the lead fullback for the "Belldozer." Ripkowski. Perfect. "I've heard it since I was a kid," the freshman walk-on said. "'Oh, Ripkowski. That's a fullback or linebacker name.' I mean, I don't get tired of hearing about it. Back home, I'm a big family man. We're all close. We take pride in the family name." The only problem is if you get too hung up on the name - it's Polish, for the record - you miss out on the story. Ripkowski was all set to go to the U.S. Naval Academy last spring, play defensive end for the Midshipmen and then become an officer. "He had his report date and everything," said Randy Ripkowski, Aaron's father. "He had done all of his entry stuff, like the physicals, and at the last minute he decided he wanted to walk on at OU." Ripkowski had attended the Sooners' camp the summer before his senior year at Dayton (Texas) High School and dropped jaws with his strength. This was a state champion power-lifter, see, who also happened to play ball. "I got 500 on bench. Squat, I think, was 620. My dead lift was 650," Ripkowski said. "I almost had 700, which would have been a state record, but I couldn't lock it out at the top." Ripkowski kept in touch with OU assistant Bruce Kittle until, finally, Kittle "kind of persuaded me to come up here. He said, 'We're looking for a fullback. We could use you in some short-yardage.'" Seriously? A freshman walk-on who played linebacker, defensive end and right guard for a high school team that ran a spread offense? They could use him? Yes. They could. "He came in a hard-working, physical, strong kid who loved the weight room," OU running backs coach Cale Gundy said. "He made a quick impression in some invididual challenges that we had, some one-on-ones with some people." "A bruiser," senior tight end James Hanna called Ripkowski. He just needed a niche. The kick return team provided one. "On our first return at Kansas State, he crushed a guy," Kittle said. "I think the guy must have had a broken rib. It was one of those knockout shots." Then, struggling to slam the ball into the end zone, the Sooners implemented a short-yardage formation, the 245-pound Bell taking shotgun snaps and barreling forward behind fullbacks Ripkowski and Trey Millard. "First, Aaron called to tell me he made traveling squad," said Randy Ripkowski. "Then that he made the return team a couple weeks later. Then he told us about the 'Jumbo' package he was on ... Well, he told us as much information as he could." The kid was learning fast. At the end of OU's first drive at Kansas State Oct. 29, Ripkowski ran onto the field with Bell for the first time. He sealed safety Ty Zimmerman on the right edge of the formation, and Bell scored standing up. The Sooners liked the result enough to try it twice more near Texas A&M's goal line Nov. 5. Ripkowski smothered cornerback Terrence Frederick, Bell scored in his wake. Ripkowski pushed safety Trent Hunter 5 yards backward into the end zone, Bell followed again. The TV commentators didn't mention Ripkowski's name at K-State. They called him "Riplowski" on Bell's first touchdown against A&M. By the second half against the Aggies, they were getting it just right. So OU's second "walk-on makes good" story of the season didn't quite ripple like Dominique Whaley's. Didn't have the national hook. It sure resonated back in Dayton. "I get a call almost every day from a friend back home, like, 'I saw you on TV! I can't believe you're getting in!' " Ripkowski said. "It's crazy. They're all happy for me." It sure felt good around the Switzer Center. "With his physicality, 'Rip' is kind of a classic Big Ten fullback," Kittle said. "We feel really fortunate that we were able to lure him to Oklahoma. He's been filling a void for us." Read more from this Tulsa World article at [Hidden Content]
