It's haircut or get cut in Silsbee basketball
Coach Schrapps replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Basically what I got from this article was Wah Wah Wah from parents. Sure your kid doesn't have to Cut his hair, but he doesn't have to play basketball. Basketball and other sports are privileges. I'm sure if Coach Williams had a white player with surfer hair he would give Him the same rules. He's encouraging continuity across the board in his program good For him. As for losing players....haha....I think Silsbee will be just fine. Good point on wooden, I think it worked out okay for him too. -
Silsbee better this year or last year??
Coach Schrapps replied to eagleswoodville#1's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Too soon to tell, wait till January. -
Or maybe Orangefield accomplished a game plan and played hard on both ends of the floor. They slowed the game down as much as they could. They didn't try to press them and speed it up. You can call it what you like, but you better not count Orangefield out for a playoff spot in 21-3A.
So your predicting that after losing Zach Hayes....Orangefield will beat out WOS for the last playoff spot?

Is DC Stalworth Best Player In The AREA?
Coach Schrapps replied to PrettyBoi10's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
If I were a college recruit I would think long and hard about going to the southland. With all the expansion talk and with Texas state and utsa the conference is on shaky ground. -

See this is the problem. You can't just take the compliment and move on. He is not a point guard plain and simple. He cannot shoot the three consistently. As an opposing coach wouldn't you be satisfies if he was out on the perimeter shooting 20 hooters I think so. Do you realize the type of shooter you have to Be to make it to the next level at the two spot? Probably not. I'm not Saying he does not have a division 1 future. I'm saying it would be at the three spot though. -
Best All around player , he can play all 5 positions , Won district MVP and all state His jr year So i can see him beinq in the top 25! :)
He cannot play all five positions. He is not a one or two and all Silsbee fans know that. He is a heck of a player. Very similar to Trey Guidry of St. Pius IMO. They are very similar in height both very long and good slashers from the 3 spot. -
Oden out for the year....AGAIN!
Coach Schrapps replied to Mr. Buddy Garrity's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Everyone forgets that Portland had Brandon Roy going into that draft and there were concerns about how those two will play together. Also go back and look at the Ohio State-Florida National Championship...Greg Oden was the best player on the floor and dominate throughout the game. Players like Oden don't come along very often...if he stays healthy who knows where his career is at. Greg Oden has never been arrested or anything like that and by all accounts is a good KID (he's only 22)...so why root against him so hard -

DC is a great player but people need to understand the supreme talent that is in the state of Texas. Especially in the class of 2012. Mark my words. Houston will have somewhere in the neighborhood of 15 of the top 150 players in the country for the class of 2012. Players like Cameron Ridley from Bush, Shaquille Clare from The Village School, Jeremy King and Christian Sanders for St. Thomas, Trey Guidry and Carl Culberson for St. Pius, LJ Rose for Second Baptist (Already visited North Carolina), Rasheed Sulaimon for Strak Jesuit (Already Visited Duke), Clyde Santee for Yates, Wanna Bail, Michael Carey, Aaron Durley...the Houston Area is loaded. -
LCM should be pretty good this year they return several varsity starters. Kelly has a couple outstanding players but NO depth. Kelly will go as far as their seniors + Falgout take them.

Have you seen Aaron Durley play? If so imagine him but more athletic and better touch. He's very good. Kelly only suited out 8 -

They just notched a win over Plano Prestonwood who have a kid going to Kansas ( Zach Peters) and one of the top 5 players in the sophomore class in the country (Julius Randle)
Aggie knows nothing of Randle or Peters.. Never seen Peters play but heard of him since he was young kid. Randle is a beast.
The scary thing is ESPN says the same thing about Randle
You probably will not see three of Silsbee starters, one for sure. I look for them not to play till Friday against PNG.
I would like to see Silsbee and PNG meet later on...curious how Doty would do against that competition...heck of an athlete

Maybe silsbee should send their JV might be a better game
Legacy Christian was missing most of their team due to football. You are right it is a scrimmage and does not mean much. I'm just reporting the scores ;)
Would it matter if they had their whole team? This is the team that went 0 fer in their non conference last year

Talented sophomore. I thought Vidors coachs son played as well?
I don't think Zach Quinn has a son that old, could be wrong though.
Your right I was thinking of the previous coach
