Bridge City just gave up 21 points to a team that doesnt have nearly the talent at running back and receiver as Kelly. Kelly will have to play better on the defensive side of the ball this week and has to protect the ball and cut down on penalties, if they can do that it should be a great game to watch.

He caught 6 balls for 73 yds and 2 TDs in his 1st Varsity game against a strong WO-S opponent.
Not being rude...but not quite
You may not agree that he is THE best, but I understand why he got a mention from NHS1990. Scoring 2 TDs against one of the best programs in the area shows that he has potential to be one of the best WRs in the area. Maybe that's what 1990 was saying. Will have to wait a few more games to see if he is for real.
It was his first varsity game, he shouldnt even be in the discussion. Receivers like Richardson, Nelson, Schrapps and Jones have all been playing varsity football for several years and are proven commodities.
 3. Kelly wins 33-3. Very sloppy start for the Bulldogs, way too many fumbles to start the game. The Bulldogs really put this one away in the second half wearing down Westbury Christian. Bulldog defense looked great as the secondary came away with two interceptions (Messina and Schrapps) and had another one (Guidroz) negated by a poor pass interference call. Nick Barber had 3 rushing touchdowns and Nick Schrapps had 2 receiving touchdowns. Good opening game for the Bulldogs, but they will have to come out with a better start next week. They play at East Chambers next Friday at 7:30.
 4. H-F has the best 8th grade team that I've seen

he's a junior this year, heck I don't know, I think he cut 5 10th's off is 40 time, don't care about last year.  Maybe cuz he played same positions as Salenga and Sonnier?  I'm talking about this year, just watch.
Exactly, go get laser timed and when you go from being a 4.4 guy to a 4.7 guy then you can be shocked. Also, if a player was a 4.4 guy I'm pretty sure coaches would find a way to get him on the field So your saying he went from 5.0 speed to 4.5?  ::)
He went from low 4.6 to low to mid 4.4.
So you're telling me this kid has better speed than Anquan Boldin, A.J. Green, Larry Fitzgerald, Donald Driver, Brad Smith, Brandon Marshall, Dwayne Bowe and many other NFL wide receivers? Give me a break. Do people realize how fast 4.4 speed is? Give me a break with all these stopwatch times of 4.4.
Agreed, tired of all these people saying there kids ran a 4.4 but no one has ever heard of them, It is possible of course, but if you run a 4.4 while in high school then we would know your name because your stats would be recognizable, only person I hear at least in 22-3A that they say runs a 4.4 is Sherman Gilbert RB Coldspring who rushed for 2000 yards and 20 touchdowns missing 4 games and playing for a state championship and I still can't say he runs a legit 4.4 because I've seen him beat on the track against guys running high 4.5's so you never know. 8. The run game is their strength so it makes sense that they would pass more than run in a scrimmage.
 9.
Jayce Nelson (PN-G)- 74 catches, 1123 yds and 12 TD in 2010. Returning receiving leader in 20-4A. He will have his choice of college offers.
Does he have any offers?
 10.
its a scrimmage!!! hardin might have a long yr who knows but my buddy told me kelly ran tons of stuff on offense while hardin ran very basic stuff!!!!
I dont understand, are you faulting Kelly for being crisp and able to run the majority of their playbook? In 7 on 7 Kelly runs game plays, not 7 on 7 plays so that is why they are so far along. Add that with the fact that they return their starting tailback, fullback, and #1 Wide Receiver, not to mention the fact that Darling played in several games last season when Eddins went down and you can see why Kelly was the better team. Surprised to hear that Hardin didn't "win the JV scrimmage, they have had some good junior high teams as of late.
 11. The three youth programs who are the most fundamentally sound in terms of player skills and team concepts are in no particular order Nederland (Central and C.O. Wilson) Hardin Jefferson or Henderson and St. Anne. I've seen alot of teams play and these are the teams that routinely have a system that their players execute.
 12. Look for his dad to be a member of the coaching staff soon..... ::)
 13. This isn't a surprise...kid tried to come to Kelly but would have been the backup.
 14. July 22nd Games Kelly vs Brook Hill 8:00 Am Kelly vs Westbury Christian 9:00 AM (Preview of Kelly's Opener) Kelly vs Oakridge 10:00 AM Good Luck to the Bulldogs
 15.
Yeah dont be to quick to judge, I know this man personally and he is a good coach, but better yet is a good christian man with high values that will treat not only the football players but also all athletes with respcet they deserve. He will also demand respect from them. He will also care about all the girls programs as well and will visit the feeder schools like they have not been in the past. He want make empty promises and he will not be a puppet on a string to anyone, I can guarantee you that. He may be friends with alot of people but I can a sure you he is no member to any clique. And he will tell you how he feels no matter who you are in a heartbeat. Give him a chance.
Thats a huge deal and something thats been missing
 16.
Legacy Christian might have just gotten stronger...
Maybe one day Legacy will give up their pipe dream of being on an equal level athletically as Kelly. It will never happen. Three years ago when Legacy supposedly had their "best basketball team ever" with Patereau and company they came to Kelly and got housed. This year Legacy was supposed to have to their best Junior High group ever and lost by close to 40 in Football and 20 + in Basketball, and the second game they played in basketball well we wont even get into that. Legacy could hire Tony Dungy and they still aren't beating Kelly. Make the call and schedule the game if you want you're shot.
 17. The whole team is enrolled and attending Kelly. The plan is for them all to play freshman ball next season to continue to grow as a team, and hopefully some will start making contributions as sophomores. Group has a good mix of speed and shooting, but could use another big man on the bench. As far as the varsity, could be a down year this year, with only Thomas Falgout and Will Reese returning.
 18. Since Kelly has chose not to release any names or applicants, I will not give names but resumes have been submitted, and Interviews will start this week. Look for about 5 people to be interviewed.
 19.
Your right I'm sure the kids they recruit from Ozen are'nt wealthy. Bottom line is your crying because SPX recruits the entire Houston area and all you get is beaumont!! What a bunch of babies!
You have no idea of the sacrifices that some parents make in order to make sure their kids get an education from Kelly. How dare you generalize a whole school which you obviously know nothing about. Also it is YOU'RE not Your, RICH not RITCH, and AREN'T not ARE'NT. I'm glad I got an education from Kelly that taught me how to spell and proper grammar. Also how is Legacy possibly going to get bigger, their feeder school just shut down?
