1. The list would be Taylor Mullenax Edward Persia Ryan Zummo Jude Messina All four were thousand point scorers during their career. Three of these players played on the same team for two years.
 2.
Well whoever put the names in the OFFICIAL book had it all jacked up............maybe that is why Kelly got 3 technicals tonight for not having people in the book!!!!
Three technicals....what happened?
 3. Do you know if it's all three teams? Haven't had a chance to look at the schedule
 4.

What is going on with West Brook, Central, Ozen, and Kelly. Seems like all of them are down this year. Can't remember the last time this happened.
So you are implying that the Tigers wins over WB and Kelly are not BIG WINS and that the LOSS to Ozen is a devastating loss!!!! ;D ;D ;D
Love my Bulldogs but Silsbee beating them is to be expected. So no it is not a big win, beating westbrook of course but Kelly is a no.
 5.
Best Point guard means these guys know how to get the ball to their teammates in scoring positions. Play fantastic on and off the ball defense. Also able to bring a little bit of scoring to the table to help out the team.
I think this is dated. I think the best point guards are the ones that get the ball out in the open court and push the tempo. They need to be able to distribute the ball to open teammates. They need to be able to make the open three especially against a zone. I really think in today's game the point guard needs to be just as much of a scorer as a distributor.
 6.
These have the best chances: DC Stallworth- Silsbee Prentice Lane- Silsbee Darrin Sells- Woodville Garrett Gustafson- HJ David Green- Ozen Kristian Smith- Central George Whittaker- Spurger Devon Murphy- Evadale And possible Shawn Prudome out of HJ.
Not to dash dreams here but the only one of this list that has a chance is DC. Guards at the college level are so much bigger now, they can shoot the lights out of it and they play above the rim. Go watch a tournament in Houston with these teams like Lamarque, Bellaire, Bush, etc and watch these kids warm up and play. Then look at the private school teams in this state. Westbury Christian, Plano Prestonwood (has one of the top players in the sophomore class), Second Baptist and Strake Jesuit who each have players that are at the top of the 2012 class. It's just a different level of basketball. Go to RCS sports and there rankings of players. SETX has like four players tops.
 7. I think one of the biggest differences for this years team is the fact that they has gotten to play games. They had one tournament cancelled and got snowed out of Huntington last year. They have already played 23 games this year when last year they barely Played that Many all season. They are really on a nice run headed into district.
 8. Hey Dove, how bout those Westbury Christian boys winning the Houston ISD tourney, taking out yates by 12

They just overwhelm you with size and power. That's not kellys game they are going to spread the floor and hit open jump shots. But I guess that legacy would just shut that down. All I was saying is that there is a Huge Difference between tapps 5a and tapps 2a.
I would say a BIG HUGE DIFFERENCE between TAPPS 5A & 2A ;)
HUGE DIFFERENCE
Thats a huge.....difference....literally.

 11. And West Hardin is just a power house? Kelly being "not that good" would still beat legacy by double digits. Just another person looking to pick a fight. Kelly plays in a highly competing district and continues to make the playoffs. Send your West Hardin team up against St. Thomas and St. Pius and see how they do.
 12. Are you sure this is correct? And the middle school court? Played there a couple weeks back. No way that court is in proper condition for a varsity game. Kids were slipping all over the place.
 13. Kelly really played well in this game. They had balanced scoring, played together as team....That being said there was no one there to see it. For that the Kelly community should be ashamed. There were more students from St. Anne's there watching the game than there were students from Kelly. If it wernt for parents and siblings of the basketball players there would hardly be anyone in the gym. Kelly should play every game on the road from here on out just so they will be able to experience some excitement in the gym. This has been an ongoing problem over the last couple of years. Current students are really letting the team down. When I played basketball at Kelly the gym would start to fill up during the freshman game and by the time it got to be tip off for varsity the place had a nice buzz. Now the only noise is from the referees whistle or often times the other teams fans who outnumber Kelly's fans. To the fans who do come out and support the Bulldogs thank you.
 14. Should have checked out the Houston ISD tournament this past weekend and tomorrow.
 15.
Yeah its easy to get players like that when you recruit from all over the world.
What's the problem with this? They do not compete for state championships. They play predominantly other prep schools and the best in the nation. They provide players with almost certainly getting a scholarship and a free education in College.
 16. Couple things based on some previous posts.... Yates would not have beaten Findlay last year. Cory Joseph and Tristan Thompson would have had their way last year. The PG for Findlay is not similar to Augustin. He's bigger stronger and faster than Augustin could ever think about being. All that being said Yates is terrible in the half court. Not enough shooting and too much isolation. Yates staying in the press was madness. I mean they were basically trying to press a College team. Think about it they have a kid going to Texas, the kid going to Arizona who by the way is biggggg time, the kid going to St. Johns, a SOPHOMORE who plays like a senior committed to UNLV. I'd like to see this starting five of Findlay against Lamars starting five.
 17. Such a shame Dakota Eddins was hurt he was having the type of year that would have put him in the discussion for this list.
 18.
Based on the local players that I have seen this year, this would be my top 10 list: 1. DC Stallworth   Silsbee 2. Garrett Gustafson   HJ 3. Darren Sells   Woodville 4. Prentice Lane  Silsbee 5. David Green   Ozen 6. Zay McDaniel  Kountze 7. Chris Cunningham  Nederland 8. Kristian Smith   Central 9. Adam Wells   West Brook 10. Hunter Gonzales   LCM Honorable Mention: Brennan Doty      PNG Shawn Prudohme   HJ Devon Murphy    Evadale George Whittaker  Spurger Kelvin Smith   Nederland Dionte Forney  Nederland This list is subject to change throughout the season.
I would take Doty over Gonzales in a close one. When he gets back into basketball shape he will be tough to stop
