Beaumont Kelly vs. Liberty Predictions ?
Coach Schrapps replied to pantherbacker's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
See where Kelly stands injury wise on Monday but I say Kelly wins this one fairly comfortable -
Tonight was definitely a different story than the first two games of the Bulldogs 2010 season. The Bulldogs had no interceptions and had put up 34 and 51 points respectively in their first two games heading into the showdown with Bridge City. Tonight would not prove to be the same though. The Bulldogs knew they faced a tough test, probably their hardest game outside of arch rival St. Pius this season. Kelly had opportunities to score and moved the ball well in spots but just didn't look fluid on offense tonight. Lots of credit goes out to Bridge City, really had Kelly on the ropes with some of their Zone Read and Option game. The Cardinals often gashed the Bulldogs for long runs especially on third downs which was the back breaker in this game as the Bulldogs struggled to get off the field. Bridge City definitely won this game in the trenches controlling the line of scrimmage and putting pressure on Kelly QB Dakota Eddins. Kelly's defense was hurt by Brandtley Wilson suffering an ankle injury early in the game. Wilson would stay in the game but with their leader clearly not himself the Bulldogs defense definitely was missing something. No excuses on the Kelly side though, this was a learning experience as all non district games are and can only help with the ultimate goal of winning district and making a deep run in the playoffs. Congratulations to Bridge City on the win, and Bulldog players keep your heads up. I do not have alot of statistics for this game other than some receiving stats. Nick Schrapps 12 Catches 125 yards and 1 Touchdown Gramm Klein 1 Catch 22 yards Nick Barber 45 yard TD run Also good job by Kelly Soph. QB Will Darling as he came into the game after Eddins suffered a minor injury and was forced to sit the next play out. Darling connected with Schrapps on a 15 yard touchdown pass. The Bulldogs will be on the road next week as they take on Liberty @ Liberty at 7:30 PM next Friday.

Kelly's offensive line is smart, works hard
Coach Schrapps replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
And he is absolutely a player -
But have they faced a qb like eddins? This isn't the same quarterback as last year. He's making smart decisions with the ball and performing very efficiently. I respect Bridge Citys team and talent outside of St. Pius this will be Kellys toughest game. Should be a fun one.

No I'm throwing these stats out because the previous poster wasn't informed about the Kelly offense and me being a Kelly fan was explaining something. If you wanna question scheduling how come Kelly played vidor when they were stacked and Bridge City played them in a rebuilding year? Well see come Friday night how things shape out. But I guess the saying is true ignorance is bliss....Sniff...sniff...hmm where did that endzone go?
i expect some picks if kelly throws a bunch 3 of the 4 secondary player coming back an there all studs at the highschool level
Kelly has passed for over 200 and ran for 100 in both of there games this season. Very balanced. Also Eddins hasn't thrown a pick all year.

Kelly 40 Bridge City 35
BC by as much as they want. ;)
Once again this is the stupidest prediction. If you want to come on here and say bridge city will win and name a score go for it but this as many as they want thing is nonsense. If bridge city WANTS to win by 343 points are they going to I think not. Have some sense.
I think they drowned out everything. I am not suggesting no PA music, I am just suggesting that A) It's too loud when people instinctively cover their ears, and can't hear their own band, and B) Why couldn't they at least let up for one minuite for team re-entry, and one minuit for the team prayer. Two minuits total in two hours. Thats not asking too much!
Okay let's clarify some things here. First off Kelly does not have some how did you put it 130 decibel ear splitting PA system. Kelly has a very basic system. Second off, techno music? what is this a rave? the only music that was played was either popular contemporary or stadium classic songs. Third, Kelly and East Chambers entered the field at the same time before the game and half time, so if the Kelly players want music....too bad its our home field. Kelly prays after every game and plays music after every game as the fans exit...it hasnt bothered the Kelly team from praying and you are the first person to complain. Give me a break let's talk about the game not the sound system.
BC will win by as how ever many points they want to score. i predict a shut out. they will be just too pumped up after these wins.
I'm sure this is based on all the knowledge you have about Kelly right.... ::) I hope the Bridge City Coaching Staff and Players are discounting Kelly like you all are. Kelly is a good team, Bridge City is a good team. It will be a very good game and fun to watch.

**** VIDOR @ KIRBYVILLE**** POLL
Coach Schrapps replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Just to make it clear I think Kirbyville will win but I'm telling you Vidor will come out with some fire to start the game -
**** VIDOR @ KIRBYVILLE**** POLL
Coach Schrapps replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Based on all the updates I saw from the Newton game, I'll take Kirbyville, but I think Vidor will come out motivated after a loss to Bridge City. -
umm not talkin bout football but anyway quit living in the past that was 2 years ago when legacy won there last football game haha so thats been a while. and now no it wusnt on the schedule it wus the girls and yall obviously had it mistaken so id like to see wut happen if yall played in basketball. so u dont play with fire haha.
Grammar? Obviously your either a player or a student or have friends at Legacy so this is pointless. Kelly will continue to handle their business and keep improving on the basketball court. But I will leave you with this...Legacy goes winless in their non-conference basketball schedule with a loss by 34 points to Orangefield (A team Kelly Beat), 33 points and 47 points to Bridge city (Another Team Kelly Beat), and don't forger Richard Milburn (Kelly beat them too). Good Luck Legacy Warriors this Season.
-
Since you want to go down this road....When is the last time Legacy has won a game in football? Second, Kelly tried to play Legacy last year, showed up for the game and Legacy CLAIMS it wasn't on their schedule, and the year before when Legacy had Patereau Kelly smashed them in basketball....Dont play with fire.

Kelly prevailed 51-28 in their Home opener to the 2010 season. The Bulldogs came out ready to play and jumped out to a big lead. From that point on they never looked back. Dakota Eddins came out on fire in this game distributing the ball all over the field to various recievers, backs and the tight end. The defense looked stout to the bulldogs as the first team limited East Chambers to 7 points and forced several key turnovers. East Chambers was not able to do much on offense and when they did they were hurt by turnovers. Kelly's offensive line did a nice job protecting Eddins and opening up some running lanes, especially with the loss of Center Mark Figuerias for the season to a knee injury last week. Looking ahead Kelly will have a big test with Bridge City fresh off their win over Vidor. This looks to be a good game with plenty of points put up by both teams. The game will take place next Friday September 10th at 7:30 Pm at Bulldogs Stadium. Statistics Dakota Eddins 13-21 251 Yards 3 TD's Passing, 1 Rushing TD Hunter Ewing 3 Carries 70 Yards 1 Touchdown Nick Barber 7 Rushes 60 yards 2 TD's 2 Catches 34 Yards 1 TD Trent Almond 6 Rushes 19 yards 2 Catches 46 Yards 1 TD Oshea Kenebrew 5 Rushes 19 Yards 2 Catches 20 Yards Gramm Klein 2 Catches 70 yards Nick Schrapps 4 Catches 44 Yards 1 TD, Fumble Recovery Ben Peyton 1 Catch 37 Yards, 1 Interception Andrew Messina 1 Interception around 30 yards on the return Chris Scheurich Fumble Forced, Fumble Recovery about 60 yards on the return. The Kelly Bulldogs prevailed against Westbury Christian 34-17 tonight to win their season opener. The Bulldogs started the game slow, allowing westbury to drive down the field but having to settle for a field goal. Kelly would fumble on its first possession giving Westbury possession in a great spot. Westbury would respond by scoring to go up 10-0. From this point on though the game swung in Kelly's favor. On it's next possession Kelly quarterback Dakota Eddins found Nick Schrapps on a 41 yard touchdown pass. The defense responded on the next series forcing a 3 and out. Eddins went right back to work throwing a 52 yard strike to Ben Payton. With the ball on the 10 yard line Eddins threw a perfect endzone fade to Schrapps for another touchdown. Next was the defense's time to shine as Daniel Messina intercepted a pass and returned it 42 yards. Brandtley Wilson would follow that later in the game forcing a fumble which was recovered by Messina on the 1 yard line. Hunter Ewing would respond with the touchdown run to extend Kelly's lead. Ewing would also add another 30 yard touchdown run later in the game. Kelly controlled the game after the early setbacks outscoring Westbury 34-7 after the opening couple of possessions. The trio of Ewing, Almond, and Kenebrew would pace the Bulldogs ground game. The passing game was really clicking tonight with Eddins distributing the ball all over the field. The Star tonight was definitely Eddins. Stats (Only what I was able to Keep on phone) Eddins 14-27 242 yards and 2 touchdowns. (His numbers arent even close to indicative of how well he played. Had a 62 yard touchdown called back and several drops by receivers. Really took care of the ball and made great decisions all night.) Schrapps 4 catches 101 yards and 2 touchdowns Payton 1 catch for 52 yards (Payton and Schrapps paced the receiving core with Kenebrew and Graham Klein making some nice grabs.) Messina 1 Interception, 42 yard return, 1 fumble recovery Cook 1 Interception, about a 25 yard return Wilson Forced Fumble, 4/5 on extra points, (Don't have defensive stats but really paced the defense along with Klein.) The Bulldogs next game will be Friday against East Chambers at Kelly 7:30 PM.

Hardin @ Kelly 5 PM -
Kelly. 18 returning starters and that home date looming with Bridge City should make for a fun season

Couple things... HJ's Jv might be able to beat Legacy...after all they were what 0-18 in Non District games last year.... As someone who has been on the opposing side of both Silsbee and WOS and knowing what they have coming back is what I base my opinion on. Silsbee is no one man team...Stallworth is good but he's not J'Covan or Decarlos Frank he's not a one man scoring barrage. I'm not saying he's not good but he plays more of an all around type of game. Silsbee has several other talented players and like I said you cant base your opinion on Summer League games, often time players arent there. And to be fair no one attacked I just disputed your opinion
