1. From watching the game online it looked like a fire hazard. There were people everywhere, it looked way over capacity.
2. Agree New Waverly cleared their biggest hurdle already punch their ticket.
3. Kelly loses one starter and one bench player. The rest of this years young team will be back.
4.
HJ loses Turner, Venable and Ricossa as starters................ HJ loses Nobles, Weldon and Brown as reserves.......... Obviously biggest loss is Turner.............with the style of play that HJ has the others can be replaced very easily with what HJ has coming back and what they have that will move up to varsity next year!!!  Really do not expect HJ to miss a beat next season!!!!
I dont know to lose six players and three starters is going to have some bumps along the way..
5. Congratulations to the following players: Andrew Messina- 2nd Team All District Alfredo Ledet- 2nd Team All District Thomas Falgout- Honorable Mention All District Nick Schrapps- 1st Team All District Taylor Pace- 1st Team All District Also congratulations to Nick Schrapps and Taylor Pace for being named All State as well.
6. More appropriate title...James and the Horns...It's James team.
7. Got a chance to see some of the Friendswood players this summer and I'll be interested to see how they do against Yates. I'm not saying they will win just want to see how they do
8.
i guess pam should've played yates  :D :D :D
Grow up...
9. Disappointing loss....Good Season Memorial...Keep your heads up.
10. Houston officiating is much more favorable to Yates style of play. Much more of the let the players play philosophy over there.
11. After playing New Waverly, and seeing Kountze play. Kountze wins by 15-18
12. How have they been screwed? I mean it's not like they didn't get to play in a game or a tournament because they were ranked wherever. The rankings have little to no impact on the season or what takes place.
13. And so begins the march to the state championship...
14. It would have made only a slight difference. If Bellaire remains focused they should take the title. Very good team.
15. Lol welcome to kellys world. Well it's not that bad. St. Thomas has two 6'8" sophomores ranked in the top 100 in Texas and they have two guards ranked in the sophomore class in Texas as well.
16. St. Thomas has enough size that they are equal or bigger than silsbee.
17. I'll tell you why if your someone like Memorial you don't want to play yates. Say you actually get the game well just imagine the buzz of the community and the players. Emotions would be high and the warm up game could quickly become a bigger deal than the playoff game. Say you go in play an emotional first half but then yates pulls away and wins by thirty. Well now you have a team who is physically and emotionally spent and potentially demoralized. On a side note people please understand Yates is as good as advertised no one in this are can beat them so stop asking for the matchup
18. It really is ridiculous AAU has become so corrupt with coaches getting paid big dollars and kids getting pulled in every direction.
19. Some information available on RCS Sports...both of these matchups are a little dull...Would like to see Yates/Findlay Prep and Bellaire/Westbury Christian
20. Mullenax was on two out of three teams don't forget that. Thank you for at least acknowledging the contributions of these players.
21. Havent had a chance to see Silsbee play lately...Is stallworth all the way back and healthy?
22. Ill agree it seemed in the first game that Kountze was the more emotional and intense team.
23. If you think Public Schools don't recruit than your sadly mistaken....Hit the AAU circuit in Houston....
24. I thought about the Kountze team too, man they were fun to watch
25. I think alot depends on the officiating in this game. The last time the two played the majority of Silsbee's bigs were saddled with foul trouble. If they can stay out of foul trouble, handle the press, and do their best to contain Brey and Walker I look for Silsbee to win a close one. That being said those three things aren't exactly easy, should be a good one.
