The elephant in the room is the advent of the Spread O.  Since 2000, there are a handful of programs which run it properly while all others do a piss poor job of it.  The spread has made defenses soft and drug store cotton.  Also, the child has change to which many stay inside or play sports year around to the point of burnout.  It's sad to me but there it is.  BTW, Thompson and Owens were past their prime.  Stop putting old TJ crap on PAM.  They were good around here but for the exception of TJ 80, couldn't get passed the 1st round......

Now back on topic.  All BISD has to do is enforce a strict feeder system which would result a minimum of 200 kids back at Ozen and WB's ADM around 2200ish while Central would be around 1700.....
There are 2 elementary schools that are zoned to the West End which can be zoned to Odom and SP Middle.  Also, stop allowing the transfer of students who are passing the test.  Only those who are struggling would be allow to transfer.  This would go a long way to keeping Ozen above 1200.....

Well, homeskillet, I subbed in BISD in '91-'92 and I know the history of Beaumont quite well.  The only schools that won on a constant basis was Hebert and Charlton-Pollard.  Everybody else were mediocre
 

I don't think the Pear Orchard will agree with loosing their school again, just like the north and south end wouldn't want to loose Central. If you cut the school with the lowest academic performance then we would loose Central. I think the zoning issue is the problem with kids within 1 to 3 miles of Ozen being allowed to enter WB. The homes and apartments just behind, on the side and in front of Ozen are zoned for WB so tell me how is this equal zoning.

I was there to root for C.E.King but I was really impressed with Jaguar #42 DL Reggie Boseman.He was in the Panther backfield all night long.Good Luck next year 22-5A trying to block this young man.
