There are plenty of articles just like this, this law needs to change. There's no way law enforcement should be able to confiscate funds because they "think" it was linked to a crime.

"Soon find out" has passed, they sat on this for 4 years. There is nothing good about how this was handled. I'm sure they'll come up with some evidence of wrongdoing, they've had 4 years to work on it and I'm sure they want to keep THEIR $40,000.

So why is he having to take this to court to get his money back? Seems there should have been charges made and not just sit stagnant with this guy’s money for 4 years. This looks exactly like they took the money, brought no charges for 4 years in hopes that this guy from another state would just give up.

No difference other than there was no Russian collusion and was simply made up compliments of the Clinton campaign and Hunter’s laptop actually showed business dealings in Ukraine that directly involved the big man. Yeah, no difference, lol.

So guilty until proven innocent, I guess? I guess if they don’t prove a crime they’ll hand the money back and say, oops, our bad. Bad law that seems to promote bad behavior. Nothing like this should drag on for 4 years.

No I don’t, but it appears that 4 years later he hasn’t been charged with a crime but they still have his $40,000. You good with that?

Very sorry to hear this. I have enjoyed his posts on here for many years. Will really miss his take on things. The good news is he’s now with Mrs. Hagar and no longer in pain. Strength and prayers for his family.

There is a big difference between this scenario and the one I posted. You actually caught guys committing a crime, doesn’t seem to be the case with the truck driver, they just seemed to have come across some cash and no crime.

No charges were filed, IF you go by the article, he had no criminal activity to base this on. Looks like he found money and no crime and just decided to take it. And why haven’t they given the money back after 4 years?

The response you gave about Benghazi says it all, they allowed our finest to be killed and then tried to cover it up, but you don’t care because it was done by democrats.

Yeah, this definitely needs to stop, confiscating money for no reason, no charges, and make it the responsibility of the person who the money legally belongs to have to spend their time and money in court for years to try and get THEIR money back.

No doubt both sides are useless and never hold the other accountable, but as you pointed out, the depths that the democrats will go to advance their agenda, even sending folks they know are innocent to jail is in no way comparable to how the Republicans operate. The Republicans are for the most part useless, but the democrats are dangerous. I welcome any of our friends on the left to dispute this, and if you do, tell me how I'm wrong.

Nope, nothing will happen to anyone but there are plenty of us in this country that see what’s going on and have enough sense to vote the right way, but the problem is we are outnumbered by fools, lazy takers and snowflakes that have us outnumbered, and it will only get worse. I don’t see anything really changing until it comes to a head and a real deal January 6 takes place.

Another no brainer is there will be no one held accountable and the DOJ and FBI will continue to be used to undermine Republican administrations, that is if we ever get another one elected. I'm sure we can if we can just pick the right candidate for approval from the American Idol masses.

I've read similar cases where folks had to go to court to try and get their money back, some successful, some not. Civil forfeiture does look like legal theft in some of these cases. Even if this guy gets his money back, they have likely ruined his business, they took it four years ago.
