I guess I will check back to see if they sign with these schools.  In checking recruiting for SMU doesn’t show any Hardin kids as prospects.  Maybe they are keeping it hush hush.🤫

The new coach inherited a group of mostly upperclassmen. You can dislike a guy all you want, but to discredit what he did for the kids while he was there is just showing ignorance mixed with being butthurt. If the current coach is some guru, then WH will go farther than 1 and done in the playoffs. 

When he took over the program their it was in really bad shape and the base of his team the first 2 years were freshman and soph. He had done alot of good over there and is on his way to being a top tier HC one day once he gets some talent around him.

Gotcha ya .  read some of it....a few posters ain’t got a clue about teaching or coaching or how salaries work. I’m not gonna even entertain that subject which I know first hand.
Back to the “impatience”  
i was just referring to it cause it’s west Hardin.   Has west Hardin been a powerhouse in the past?  Playoffs?  If not “impatience” doesn’t really fit to get rid of a guy especially if he s an alum and as long as he has good character.  It s west Hardin... you ain’t getting a top tier coach.

I do happen to need one though to educate your kids and if you find a teacher who isnt working weekends then point me in the direction of that school that is that lax on planning. Now lets say I coach a sport or any other kind of activity. Well there goes those weekends and summers. from August till Christmas most coaches will work 7 days a week for a small stipend(thats just football, im not even counting spring sports). Considering a bunch of coaches and teachers are leaving to go work those shutdowns in the plants to make 2 to 3 times what they made as teachers and work less and not near as hard. I wouldnt call it a part time gig.. But hey buddy go get your degree and then student teach for a half a year unpaid and then take the state test which will cost you and then take your content test and become a teacher and work this part time gig. Their is a HUGE Teacher shortage and I would love for you to come step onto any of our campuses and show us what you got.

I’d have to disagree with you. 40k and you take verbal abuse from students. Your grading papers after school. God forbid Little Susie failed a test and Momma Becky needs to speak to a teacher ASAP. It’s not fun trust me. They do it to try to create successful members of society.

Offshore oil rig workers work 6 months out of the year and make three times more than a teacher.

Well WH has nothing but hard working superior athletes with a great school board also. 

More importantly....Will he be able to find coaches willing to work 60-70hrs per week for $30K per year in a district with a volatile school board?  The last guy had lots of issues finding coaches willing to work for that amount of money.   WHISD has a pay scale that will ensure that they will never keep a coach.  The minute a coach turns that program around he will leave for more money.

I don't have a dog in this fight.. but.. it kind of does matter.  Which rule is being broken?.. and what coach, player, referee, or other member was called a name?  The only reason I bring it up is that I post some things every once in a while that people probably don't like but I still don't break the forum rules.  Like if I said some school was a blazing dumpster fire.. probably offensive but not against the rules.
