From Hitchcock Head Coach: Gr8 atmosphere in Silsbee came up short 78-65. Hats off to those guys, I’m glad we finally got a chance to play that game. Nothing but respect to Coach Sigler and his staff. They are where I want our program to be. Back to practice Monday!!!!

Silsbee was without 4 players for that game. Two starters.

We are starting our basketball pickems this week. Schedule of games will be Tuesday/Wednesday and then Friday/Saturday each week. So there will be two separate pickems each week. All the games will have point spreads attached. So when picking a team, you will have to consider the point spread. This is not just picking the winner. Team giving points will have to cover spread. In this pickem contest, there will be no pushes. For example, if the line is a -5, the team giving the points would have to win by 6 or more. You must have your picks posted by 6pm on Tuesday and 6pm on Friday. He was a defensive coach on Thompson's staff. Was assistant principle, not former. Did not become former until he was hired as AD/HC.

I saw where Boulwen had 18 points and 12 rebounds and Rice had 24 points and 12 rebounds. I still hold my breath anytime they put the ball on the floor though. I think Gaines for Silsbee can give us some good minutes. He's really quick and has good ball handling skills

I never poked holes in it. Where did I do that? I said I didn't think they were top 3. But I also haven't seen any 3A teams that I thought were better. My question has nothing to do with this game but I am not surprised that you brought that up.

Jones, Boulwen, and Rice played well. Rice did a heck of a job on offensive rebounding the ball tonight. I'd really Iike to see Silsbee box out better. I see the ball in the air and players watching the ball and not putting a hip on someone. Good win Tigers and on to the full district lineup.

#11 Jefferson #10 SA Cole, I would have said #9 Chapel Hill could be in the conversation, but I saw their best player walk off the court and outta the gym during a game at the Tenaha tournament. Jefferson is very good and just starting to get some love in the rankings. Which ones you got?

Unless Anahuac makes the playoffs. Anahuac gets in, they are DI and EC DII. Buna gets in, EC is DI, Buna DII

Both of these teams are a little rough around the edges. This is a game that needed to happen last year. Silsbee will get a starter back on the 14th. Hopefully that'll help some.

Rice had 3 and 1 put back dunk. And Boulwen had a big two handed dunk.
