Darnold received $178k for winning the Super Bowl. He owes California $249k. California looks at what they call "duty days". Darnold spent 7 "duty days" there. What they do is add the Super Bowl winnings to his regular salary and then is taxed at 3.5%. That's how they got the $249k. It ended up costing him $71,000 to play in the Super Bowl. Another bad part about this is the next Super Bowl is in LA! So, unless something happens this will happen again. The NFL should boycott California for any future Super Bowls. At least until they drop this jock tax. And California still runs massive deficits! This is what commie States do!

I was wrong. I missed the LP win in 2012. LP leads all-time 8-7. But, y’all have won the more recent games. LP won in 2014. Then, we played on and off during LP’s coaching changes, and y’all have won 5 in a row. It’s been a series of streaks with 7 point or less games in the middle. After y’all’s first win in 2011, LP won by 4 in 2012. Y’all won by 2 in 2013. LP won by 6 in 2014. Y’all won by 6 in 2015. The other games have been wider margin wins by both teams. LP has never played Lufkin or New Caney. But, they have a winning record against every other 9-5A team. The LP/PAM series is the closest.

What's the record between Memorial and La Porte only? Or is that 7-7 it?

Last year NC brought a freshman up to play QB a few games into the season. He did a solid job. The only question on him will be if he continues to play football. He is listed as the number 2 shortstop in the country in his class in some rankings.

It was still a nice little blurb. Got me excited already. lol I looked back through the records to get our 7-7. (I thought it was 8-8.) Overall against Port Arthur teams, La Porte has the edge. But, against PAM only, this will be the tiebreak year. Y’all took advantage of the LP down years between LaReau and Berneathy to catch up.

DCTX is predicting 12-5A as the toughest 5A district in the state. I'm not sold. Yes, they have 4 solid teams with Georgetown being added. But, I don't think the College Station teams are better than Randle, IC, or even Angleton. Typical 6A teams dropping to 5AD1 isn't that big of a change. The Eagles have been hot & cold. Unknown to me.

I my head, I think NC is deminished from West Fork being open but I have this theory about teams playing 6A dropping down. After chasing the Woodlands and Willis for at least the last 4 years, they may be a wild card in this whole thing

They don’t have to say it they did it with action by voting unanimously on passing the Epstein Files Transparency Act like the Republicans which caused the Clintons to be called in for questioning. Actions speak louder than words in my opinion. There is enough talk in DC on both sides with no action.

I was referring to the thread in general. The dems have exhausted their incarceration attempts with made up criminal claims. It’s been going on for a decade now. They say they are fighting for the victims, which they should be, but getting Trump is first and foremost. Have you seen any dem say they are glad the Clintons are being called in? Of course not and that proves my point.

I agree, I like most of Trumps policies but he made bad hires in his first term and he’s made some bad hires in this term. I understand that some people think this whole Epstein situation is about Trump and it’s not. My understanding is Trump pressed Congresswoman Boebert and MTG very hard not to vote for allowing a vote to be cast on the Epstein Files Transparency Act but once a vote was allowed to be cast and bring forth the Transparency Act on Epstein the Democrats and Republicans voted almost unanimously to pass the Act which hardly ever happens. At that point Trump had to sign the Epstein Files Transparency Act or look like a Pedo Protector if he didn’t. Thomas Massie is no moron like Trump called him the other day at the National Prayer Breakfast. The guy is a MIT graduate with 30 patents, he is not stupid. I believe Massie out smarted him on this Epstein issue and Trump is mad. If I am wrong on any of this please correct me. People need to understand Trump is not perfect, he is capable of making mistakes but you can’t be covering for people that have harmed children in this manner period!

Ranking Region 3 5AD1 districts right now, I'd have to say: 11-5A 12-5A 9-5A 10-5A But, I don't think the gap between 11-5A & 9-5A is as big as some may think. I put 12-5A ahead of 9-5A because of Weiss. But, 9-5A may actually have more depth. The BISD schools are the wildcards on the total depth of 9-5A.
