We were an inadvertent whistle away from shutting Silsbee out the final 30 minutes of the game last night. Would’ve been 7 or 8 consecutive stops I believe. We shutout Hitchcock and LCM, and our first team d held Vidor to a field goal. They scored 70 last night in case you didn’t see it. Like every defense in the state we’re going to give up points to quality offenses, but I’m pretty confident saying at worst our defense is above average. We may or may not go three rounds or further, but I’d sure like to understand what you’re basing this statement on.

This loss dropped Deweyville to 2-6 In 5 of the 6 losses it's been a one possession game at halftime only to be shut out in the second half. I have been to every game this year Prouse is out coached every Friday night. No different last night.

Nederland has improved since last year. They are very physical upfront on both sides of the ball. We lucked out with the win with the very predictable play calling like every week.

C.E. King was added to an exclusive list with last night’s decisive win over North Shore. The Panthers joined Summer Creek as the only teams to beat the Mustangs in district play since 2017. North Shore is 61-2 in district games during that span. After going 0-10 against the Mustangs since 2016, C.E. King finally secured its first win over the defending state champions and is alone in first place in District 17-6A.

LU should be favored in 3 of the final 4 games. Next week at UTRGV is huge. IMO they are the best team left other than SFA and LU will face them on the road. Hopes for a playoff game at home remain alive. My DAWGS didn't have much offensive production today.
