The difference is a US Senate seat is national. Yes, the same pool of voters, but way more outside money, national media attention, dirtier campaigns, dark money, bigger endorsements, bigger campaigns, etc. I would still be shocked if the democrats flipped a senate seat in TEXAS, but the GOP set it up on a tee for the dems to have the best chance.

According to my sources, the two players lost to graduation, were not given scholarships to play college football? I was able to watch them online a few games and both of the RB's were exceptional, but perhaps some of that credit goes to the type of system they are in, with the size of that O-line, no? Cornyn spent 70 million to get 43% of the votes. Paxton spent 4.1 million to get 40% of the votes. Paxton will spank Fake John Wayne Cornyn in May. Trump will endorse Paxton but Paxton doesn’t need the orange turds endorsement.

Texas AG and a US Senate seat are vastly different campaigns. I've already heard republican friends saying they'd vote for Talarico. That's how bad of a candidate Cornyn/Paxton is. I will never cast a vote for Abbott or Patrick ever again and would have to hold my nose and vote R to try to save a Senate seat. Many won't even do that, they just won't show up to vote. I think this will be a lot closer than what you are expecting. But like you say...we shall see.
