What is Loyalty? Jones would have been a star at Silsbee again had he stayed and they could have lost every game. Jones is a phenomenal player but can he take the unselfish route? Is that why he enrolled at BU and not WB, to not be outshined by Garrett? I hope that is not the case but we shall see. I hope the ruling is in favor of Jones and he makes a great showing at BU. The kid will get noticed no matter what, I just hope this does not backfire.

How will Jones leaving affect the district. I think my Stangs are going to be pretty good and Bridge City has to be favored. Right now I think it shakes out to be BC, WOS, Silsbee, and Vidor

That can’t happen in those safe haven sanctuary cities. Ask Van Hollen what he thinks about this. Surely he can have them released back on the streets. Wait a minute, NY will do that anyway. Armed citizens would stop a lot of this.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, however they tend to win a couple and then lose a couple. Basically playing mediocre as of today and in next to last place. Hopefully you will be right, I just don’t see it now

It's two months (62 games) till the All-Star break and they are only 3 games back of 1st. They have improved their team batting average from .203 to .243 (7th in AL) in the last 3 weeks while having the 3rd best team ERA (3.31) in the AL. The bats continue to improve and the pitching stays this consistent, the wins will come. I still stick to my prediction of 1st by the break with these improvements.

I sure hope the person that posted that the Astros would be in 1st place in their division by the break didn’t have a stroke before they posted. The way they are playing as of today may lead them to last place by the break

I 100% agree. Coach Thomas did an excellent job but so did Coach Green. BU was so much more younger than WB. Wasn't even close in that regard.

I don’t think green got outcoached I just think Mike T had the way better team! Looking @ those rosters last years the fact that Green even made those competitive and worth watching is crazy !

West Brook was favored by almost everyone from the end of 2024 season on. Yes the guards will be a lot more experienced and bigger this year with Coleman and Jones. That was their problem against West Brook and their bigger guards. They could very well start 3 players over 6’5 and then Jones at 6’2. Coleman is smaller but he is stout and he has high level varsity experience. United will have the chance to go back to back.

It was always worrisome that it could start with these two.

I don't know what folks you are talking about but I had West Brook winning district and United finishing 3rd in my preseason picks. Also, TABC had West Brook winning district

Shhhhhh don’t know who you was talking to but that’s all I seen Bu this Bu that. When Brook played them in the YMBL green tried to run with them and got blew out. Then the next 3 games he slow played it to not let it get out of hand. Brook never struggled all we did is adjust to what they was trying to do and our HC out coached green everytime. True losing 7 seniors is a lot but one thing I can say when you got the best guard that makes players better around him. Dont go to sleep!!! Hell we was underdogs last year so we fine with it again this year!!!

I don’t think nobody thought going in last season thag BU would be better than WB ! But WB lost ALOT & BU basically bringing back their whole team plus the additions of Jones and Coleman son ! A better WB team last year struggled with BU …

Man you still have to coach, yea they will have a nice starting 5. But I don’t see them just coming off and just dominating. Peyton Jones has had the green light in Silsbee. BU have the 6’9 maybe 6’10 when season starts will he get his touches will the team play like a unit. Like I said you still have to coach and put them in the best situation to win. They said that this year about BU and look what happen!!

This was an athletic decision; if you see it differently, then never mind. He is zoned for Westbrook but chooses to enroll at BU because they believe he has a better opportunity there. Westbrook still boasts the best guard in the southeast Texas and Houston area. It would have been exciting to see the two of them in the backcourt together. The big question, however, is whether he’ll be able to play.
