Going between La Porte & Beaumont, Port Arthur, Port Neches, Nederland, etc. isn't a bad drive as long as I-10 isn't messed up. Any further west or south of La Porte gets to be a mess as you get into more of the metro congestion. La Porte is kind of the end of the road on the east side before the metro-mess. Just don't let @Big Daddy Cool drive, or who knows where you'll wind up. Louisiana is a good bet.

Fact is that $billions were stolen. People like you want to mince words over the exact amount, while protecting the criminal. Wouldn’t want you in law enforcement. And there you have it folks. Coach Hooks will be missed! I've had the honor and privilege of serving with him! We learned the importance of real sacrifice from him as well as putting others before yourself! RIP!

It was 4 in the regular season. PNG chose to have an early release to travel to La Porte and Splendora. Those aren’t 3 hour drives. But those four days were also built in the original school calendar. So parents had plenty of time to plan. You can’t really do anything about the playoff releases.

Coach, you have done a great job with that program and really invested in those players, it shows! Yall are number 6 for a reason and you stood firm when you were battle tested. I'm sure you guys will climb even more. Good luck to yall this season!

Question: How does opting up affect income for the school, if at all? Presuming larger stadiums, larger attendance, etc. The schools get a percentage of the gate, same as the Refs?

RIP Coach Hooks. Prayers of comfort for Family and Friends. He was a force to be dealt with on the side lines, I'm sure Refs across the state still get nervous at the hint of Coach Hooks name.
