I don't remember much about the facility it's been so long. Probably been upgraded quite a bit since then. I always stop at the store there in SA to grab a snack on my way up to jefferson.

Very nice facility. EC has utilized the site for playoff games on occasion despite it being a smaller classification school.

I drive through SA several fridays a year during deer season. May have to try and time it to where I can stop and watch a game. Haven't seen them play since we played them my senior year back in 01

If he's everything you say he is then SA should have no problem winning state in 2A this year with him and a couple other move ins added to the athleticism SA allready has normally

If nothing else, it will motivate and be positive. I truly believe the assistant coaches have brought back discipline since my nemesis Xbox Kenny ray left. I didn’t like him, but he demanded respect and discipline, which in part he’s successful

I wanna get one made and put the scores down from every game we win lol. I doubt they would let me bring it in to stadiums lol. Instead of belts to u know what, paddle to a** lol

Just want to comment on KJ. First I’m not here to bash him, but I didn’t see the same kid that played for ec 2 years ago. Which makes think was it playing in 5A D1 vs playing in a lower classification that made him look slow and confused? He was the weak link with the front 7 covering most of the mistakes. I think he will feel more comfortable back in EC and wish him well

Yes, I've been a Lufkin Sideliner Booster for 30 years. We go up to the resturant and have our meeting with the coach, then stay to watch the coaches show while eating a chicken wing basket. Gary Ivins can get excited a bit, he has been a Lufkin sports broadcaster for 20 years.

I wonder how much of this paddle case interferes with the coaching staff and team… it has now hit the world news.

Lufkin game time is one of the best hs productions!! I subscribed on YouTube!!! They can be a little… biased, but very entertaining. Love the pre and post game and during the week they talk to the coach at a restaurant grill

I got PAM 20-14. I think we jump out 14-0 1st qtr and go in at half 14-7. Score again in the 3rd and miss an xtra point, new kicker. PNG scores one time in the 4th. And has the ball last with PAM defense stepping up

Well soft schedule and playing in D2 have a lot to do with it. PNG district is always weak with which grants them a district title and an easy path through d2. They suit up like a d1 school vs schools that suit up 30-35 while they bring 40-50. I bring that up because someone will say they are a true d2 team

The only two folks I know, besides Lufkin, from our current district to ever play Longview in recent years is Beaumont West Brook, they have played three times in 6A beating Longview 34-33 in the 2016 6A DII playoffs, then losing 42-17 in the 2017 playoffs, then lost a close 35-34 to the Lobos in the 2018 State 6A DII Championship game. Port Arthur Memorial and Longview have played one time, at Abe Martin /Lufkin in 2022 with Longview winning 51-7 in the 5A DI regional playoffs. I think Galveston Ball has a 5 game history with them between 1956 and 1989, Longview leads that series 4-1. Lufkin plays them practically every year either is a district or non district, we are about to open the season with them for our 89th meeting, it's a longtime traditional rivalry. Longview has had the upper hand on Lufkin as of late winning the last 9 meetings in a row, Lufkin won 11 in a row back in the early 2000s. There have been several years that we played Longview early in the year in non district then played them again the same year in the playoffs. They are 6A now so that won;t happen again anythime soon. My question to those from PAM or BWB, what was your take on the Lobo Nation as a whole, fans and team, compared to anyone else you may have played in the State. Just asking.
