  2. Speaking of the mental giant: Putting a potato in her seat, we’d get the same responses. 🤦‍♂️ [Hidden Content]
  3. True. Sauer’s rebuttal just chewed up the ACLU argument. Wow! He pointed out almost every case they referenced was BEFORE the 14th, and every case he cited was after.
  4. They have had longevity of a head coach which is very beneficial. Also they have had some talent come through. Facilities have taken a big step forward as well.
  5. Not sure really but if I had to guess it’d be area growth. I’m sure coaching plays a part as well. Have friends whose boys played very recently and would constantly mention how much work the teams put in. Also helps when the players buy in and care.
  6. … or they wanted to put the issue to rest.
  7. That’s if these are enforced.
  8. And they have guidelines to prevent gouging.
  9. Concerning Shepherd, what do you think changed?
  10. I stand corrected. I fixed it.
  11. Again, I don’t think it was a coincidence that the 14th was right after the 13th that freed the slaves. THIS is what the 14th had to do with. I know which way 3 Justices will vote. Why? Because that’s why they were put there. You know — to do the left’s bidding. This last Justice was really bad and really telling! DEI at its finest!! We want this individual to know what the Constitution says when she doesn’t know what a woman is! Sad!!
  12. If y’all come, stop by the Gold Star Memorial in La Porte (5 Points Park) while you’re here. It’s only a mile or two from Sylvan Beach in old downtown LP. Impressive monument. La Porte is a very veteran heavy community. [Hidden Content]
  13. I’m guessing you weren’t even there and are hearing this second hand to make an outlandish statement like this… It’s being blown way out of proportion.
  14. Especially when most schools in the area have made improvements and taken steps to build programs. Case in point Shepherd, went to school there, terrible sports programs for years. Now they’ve built a solid program.
  15. Today
  16. Sounded like he needed to clear his throat.
  17. Not use to seeing it jump every other day. May consider buying a motorcycle next.
  18. I’ve always remembered that Tarkington didn’t have horrible athletes. Their facilities were among the worst and the ones that were worse have since upgraded. Seemed like a nice school to go to. The area seems like a decent place to raise a family. Not sure why they won’t take the necessary steps to improve. The only candidate I know that has applied is definitely thinking of it as a place long term but I’m sure a lot of coaches that take that job came with the same expectations.
  19. What we know is there were at least 4 Justices that believed the Government had a solid case. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have agreed to hear the case at all. The arguments are very interesting. Sauer is kind of hard to listen to with a raspy type voice & very fast speech. 😂
  20. Refiners sell at wholesale prices. What you see at the pump is what individual gas stations set it at.
  21. Yeah, that’s why I think interest balancing may come into play. Interest balancing when I heard it is like safety versus the Second Amendment. One side argues that it is an individual right to possess defense firearms. The other side says that has to be weighed against the safety of the public because of statistics. So if the homicide rate is higher in Chicago, the city can ban the possession of firearms in the interest of safety over individual rights. So government interest is balanced against individual rights. No matter what Elk and Wong Son Ark say, is it more of an interest for consistency as opposed to the original intent. In the oral arguments going on right now it was asked, “what about the humanitarian crisis?”. Was humanitarian issues of people from other countries intent of the Fourteenth Amendment or was the intent to make sure that African slaves were not denied citizenship after the Dred Scott decision? I don’t thing they writing and debate on the Fourteenth Amendment at that time was about people in other countries who may have bad living conditions. I such an issue would be ludicrous but that was the question just asked. What about the humanitarian crisis….. So no matter what, I think and have thought that the Supreme Court will finally put the issue to rest and simply say if you can make it to US soil at birth, you are a citizen, which in effect changes nothing from the last 150 years. But….. what will they say, if anything, about territories overseas?
  22. Indication that if and when we pull out the markets may be kind to all. Trump said on his social media that we make a lot of money as gas prices go up. Anyone else agree?
  23. What gets me is during the Bush/Obama high gas prices, crude oil was around $140 per barrel and gas prices were almost $4.00 in our area. Now, inching closer to $4.00 for gas, crude oil is around $100 per barrel. I thought there were percentages involved. Is it inflation?
