Coach Rich & Coach Wright. They are again mismanaging the talent they have. Wright is hoarding a lot of players on the defense. Some of those big guys on the D-line need to be playing guard or tackle on the offense, like ASAP. If the linebackers can't tackle, 3-4 defenses don't work. Heck if the linebackers can't tackle, no defense really works. The DB's are getting burnt. They're fast but small. Most jump balls the WR is coming down with it, as our DB just gets pushed away. The offensive line. What can I say. Poor guys....looks like they're trying but they have been getting embarrassed. I don't think they want to play for Coach Stoker or Rich. And where is the tight end in the offensive scheme? The quarterback is good baseball player. He unfortunately throws the football like a baseball most of the times when he is scrambling. Which is a lot due to the weak O-line. He doesn't really have time to throw dimes 30 yards downfield. So let him dump a few quick passes to the TE. Much less the behind the scenes turmoil. They have a lot of kids cutting corners and the coaches are rewarding them for it. Sad. The craziest part is the hollow christianity thing Coach Rich always speaks about. I guess he thinks because he tells people, he's "leading these young men to Jesus" that he won't be judged for his coaching performance. Form of lowbrow manipulation in my opinion. Show these young men Christ more than just talking about it. Because we can always judge a tree by the fruit it bears........... They didn't play spring ball so they wouldn't be able to properly judge the upcoming JV and Freshmen. Well at least on gameplay. You know.....things like the ability to tackle. There is much more to football than 40 times, bench press, squats etc. And from my experience the strongest guy, or the guy with fastest 40 time on the team isn't always the best football player. Good measurable to track team progress but you shouldn't make your depth chart based solely on that........ I'm done. For now. Everybody on Facebook is trying to spray perfume on this crap. Glad they told me about this site.

It was always Friday the app had it wrong. Franklin Freshman team is traveling to play Giddings JV on Thursday. JV will host Lampasas JV on Thursday.

Was the game itself moved to Friday as well? Saw where DCTF app has it for Thursday

Game has been moved to Franklin isd due to field issues in Henderson.

Deer Park has found themselves an excellent QB, and they return a D1commit RB in Yates. The Deer are an always solid, perennial 6AD1 PO team who just happens to always run into North Shore 1st Round. Game 1, they blanked another perennial 6A PO team--Pearland Dawson--in Pearland 35-0. It wasn't close. The Deer appear to have a team that can challenge Dickinson for the District crown this year. La Porte looked--without sugarcoating it--pretty bad while going up against a very talented Fort Bend Crawford team. They'll need to really start gelling with the new offense in a hurry with every game counting next week. Actually, this rivalry game counts as much as a district game to many of the fans and players. Against Crawford, LP lost 2 OL from an already younger OL on consecutive plays in the first quarter, and the losses could be seen in execution from there on out. Hopefully, the young men are okay and can return. Status is unknown to me at this time. The Dawgs also had snap issues on a punt after stopping Crawford at the 5 yard line, gave up a safety, and gave Crawford another offensive possession. Later, they stopped Crawford again, had a mishandled snap in the endzone, gave up another safety, and gave Crawford another offensive possession. You can't give another offensive powerhouse 4 points & two extra offensive possessions and expect to win. Even with these miscues, and not running Simon all that much, they were within one score midway through the 4th. But, they just looked out of sync all night. I expect the Deer to take revenge at home for last year's loss to the Dawgs in a big way if LP doesn't play flawless. Thoughts?

I am a realist, what I am not is constantly, and I mean constantly negative about the whole team all of the time. There is a difference. Please go get some coaching experience and then apply for a job there if you can do better.

You are correct sir. With West Brook going to a 9 team district (only have 2 non district games now) and Hitchcock moving up to 4A D2 (don't want to schedule another regional D2 team), that took 2 of last years non district opponents out of play.

Lutheran South went 3 rounds in Tapps Div 2 last season. Not sure if that's good or great? They did beat Anahuac last year 23-7 Hardin defeated Anahuac last season 38-0. Seems like it could be a close game between the two programs.

This game shouldn’t even be remotely close… I’d imagine Silsbee scheduled them just because they had to play somebody and couldn’t find anyone else.

The unfortunate part is Nederland has Scott Rich and Wright. They don't know how to lead young men, much less put a winning program together. Nederland will make the playoffs with the weak district they're in, so that isn't saying much. If they were in the same district as last year it would be hard to go and watch. They'll probably be 0-4/1-3 before district starts. The most painful one is going to be FB Crawford. I predict they will score 50+. WB almost beat themselves. It was obvious they had a better team even with a smaller roster.

Carthage would have a similar result as DeSoto if not worse probably….

The Scoreboard and Weekly Schedule threads pinned up top of the forum are now automated and those threads will remained pinned for the whole season. Each thread has a drop down for each week so those two threads will be used all season. The titles of the two threads will not reflect each week. It will just be a title for the whole season. The Weekly schedule thread will also show what games we will be broadcasting. Also Jordan developed an automated Standings thread that is pinned up top. The standings will automatically update after games go final. Jordan has put a lot of work into this and so far it looks and works great.

They have failed to deliver on every promise save one for 40 years. Trickle down. That’s it. They been trickling down on the rest of us long enough.
