I think it will allow teams to sit back in zones more instead of coming out and guarding. No more old school PA Lincoln "come out here and guard someone"

Losing to Liberty, squeaking by Lumberton by 5, and beating BC by 15 is hardly destroying the district. Also, shouldn't you be heading out to recess instead of playing on the internet?

Have not seen Vidor since Matthews was there. I mean in person altleast. They seem to be much quicker to the line and quick snapping. Is this correct? I have only seen highlights. Look a little more like the way LH does it than the old way that they used to.

WO-S will be in the upper bracket. They won't see either of these teams until first Friday in Dec. (state quarterfinals) Friday after Thanksgiving is regional semi finals. (3rd round)

Love the shot clcok multiple other states use it in HS. It makes games more intresting and will be no more just holding the ball and dribbling around. makes everyone coach and play real basketball

Local news this morning said it may be illegal since Texas has a law banning aid for transitioning. I don't know all the details. I just saw the story on the morning news. First I'd heard of it.

Vidor has the best homecoming in this area. Hats off to them.. They put on a show thats great.

I hope we do. Home schooling, pineywoods academy and nearby Hudson continue to steal students from Lufkin isd. The drop would benefit us in many ways.

Oof. I didn’t realize that. That was before I was born, I thought the 2018 loss to Longview was their only appearance. My bad. We’re still the most recent champ I suppose, even tho that was 25 years ago itself lol.. You're right about that. We catch it from folks no matter where we get put. Once upon a time it was because we whipped everybody’s tails no matter the district we were in. People didn’t like traveling to the small town piney woods to get their rear handed to them. Hopefully Abseck can bring those days back. I think we’re close. I originally predicted Lufkin to miss the playoffs this year. So not much disappointment from me other than how the United game went. Very strange. Personally, I don’t think anybody in this district is going very far. Just my opinion.
