WOS could be a launching pad

Probably looking at a seeding and a play in game on Saturday from this district. I could be wrong but that is just my opinion.

Anahuac vs. Warren for the final spot.

Just last year Hardin was something like 5-2 or 4-3 at the half way point and then fizzled out did not make the playoffs. This year they were 5-2 at the half way point and have gone 1-5 so far.

Guess I was wrong.. A Buna win and they go 4-3 the 2nd round Yes, Hardin has pulled their usual 2nd half meltdown Kountze has played well the 2nd half to put them in a great spot. Anahuac and Kirbyville have both fallen a little bit but could find themselves in a play in position next week. This may have been the most accurate statement.. Warren has played spoiler enough to put themselves in a position for more than likely a play in game. Well, there is EC.

It's not Coach Hillin that is the problem if this is actually going on.

Some things to watch for the 2nd round: Buna is starting to get hot. They will not go 4-3 the 2nd half. Will Hardin pull their usual 2nd half meltdown? Will Kountze be more consistent in the 2nd half? Can Anahuac and Kirbyville stay the course? Can Anahuac get hot as they did the 2nd half last year. Warren played alot of close games, they may play spoiler. EC still has a long way to go to be competitive.

Great season for Coach Prouse and the Pirates. Their 3 losses this season came to 3 teams that are playing football this week.

Possibly, however the large majority of them have turf fields at their school. This helps out tremendously when trying to practice after a heavy rainfall.

It has nothing to do with the color of a man/woman/person's skin. It has to do w the leadership from the top. These coaches and kids are starting off behind the 8 ball. All Coaches and kids not in athletic periods. It is hard for any coach to build a program if they don't have all of their kids in their athletic period (both in and out of season). Also, the facilities are garbage. BU's weight room has been there since that fieldhouse was built for Ozen. I'm sure WB's weight room isn't much better. There is a lack of quality practice facilities for both schools. They are trying to compete against schools that have indoors, turf practice fields, etc. All of this is important because when weather hits in the middle of the day, there is always somewhere to go, instead of the small gym. BISD needs an AD that will fight for his coaches and get both programs back on the same playing level as other programs. The UIL puts these teams in a district, so that is out of anyone's control, but give everyone a fighting chance and at least a shot to compete. Unfortunately, it's that way in every sport, with the exception of basketball. Do Better!!!!
