Weisbrod is the defending offensive MVP of the district and until proven otherwise, he will remain a task for anyone to stop.  Ozen does have speed and athleticism to slow him down as a team, but as someone have pointed out, what do you do with little English?  I'm very interested in knowing.  I think I'll attend this game.
I'm almost sure that Weisbrod, English and that group have never beaten a team I've been associated with since the 5th grade thru last summer. So I don't see why the streak can't continue Friday.
Since English is 2 years older than the teams you mention, he has not played many of the teams you have been associated with. I know Ned beat a Beaumont team this past summer in 'summer ball', and last year, the Little Doves were on JV.
So you may be right since they have't played a real game yet. :)
Bmt. HoopStars kill the Nederland teams when they play. But thats another subject.
Are you talking AAU teams? I don't recall MC Flight playing them over the past 2 summers, although in did miss a few games. Either way Dove, it's not organized basketball, and also, what's your point?

Nederland will have to keep making the 3. I think we will, so Ned by at least 5. The crowed is going to be a factor. The dome will be loud come Friday night. The Bulldog players feed from the crowd.
Nederland will not make any 3's if Ozen plays man!!!!!
If Ozen plays man, Weisbrod likely to have a very big night
What would classify as a "big" night? Meaning points, rebounds, blocks, etc. etc....
All of that.

What type of defense, Ozen played when they defeated Nederland in the playoffs at lamar last year. man to man, zone, box and one, or street ball ?  go panthers !!
Ozen played man the entire game as well as the two other times they played last year.
Last year's game at The Montagne was officiated by Houston refs who allowed the game to be very physical which played in favor of Ozen. This year, the refs for both district games will be from the College Station chapter.
Still don't understand your point? Are you touting a Bmt Allstar team over a Ned only team? If so, I sure hope a Bmt Allstar team was able to defeat Nederland.

Bmt Hoopstars never played the full varsity squad of Nederland during any of the past few summers.. And Ozen was never at the fall leagues Nederland was at.. So I like the info Dove ;)

This will be a physical game again.. Ozen will play man, fullcourt pressure.. No way they play zone against Nederland who jacks up 3's
Why would Ozen play man  ::) Ozen likes to play the 1-1-1-1-1 zone.

Ozen will have to stop the 3 as well as Weisbrod.  And if I am not wrong, Weisbrod plays summer ball with a Beaumont team
He played with the Ballhawks in a couple of 16U teams this past summer, but he has mostly played with MC Flight which plays against far superior competition. I think he will play with the Ballhawks again this summer as they will be a 17U team and play in more competitive tournaments.
College Station? Why? It might be storming that night. The roads blocked or something.
The coaches have to agree on the refs for both District games. Since they could not agree on a local chapter, they agreed to an outside one.

As long as it's not the bmt chapter... They would have Central players shooting free throws at the Nederland/Ozen game... LOL

At this rate, you'll have the Dallas Chapter coming next year.
As long as the refs are reasonably competent, it doesn't matter from whence they originate, right Dove?  After all, there are people from New Jersey playing at Yates and you don't seem to have a problem with that.
Nash, there you go starting up trouble and making false accusations about Yates. New Jersey, c'mon man, stop the foolishness and stop trying to imply Yates is recruiting. For your information, it was New York AND the kid left and went back back home ....New Jersey LOL!!!!  :P

I am only giving you what the school internet site provided.  Surely, with such academic excellence ( that everyone is moving to Yates for) nobody would make such a mistake on a published article.
