NCAA 7 on 7 ban?

It looks like the NCAA is about to ban 7 on 7 events from being held on college campuses.  The SEC passed this earlier in the year and according to rumors it will be nation wide soon.  7 on 7 has quickly become the AAU for football with all kinds of money being thrown around trying to sway HS kids.


Is this that big of a deal?  What about the UIL basketball and baseball championships being held on UT's campus?

Im sure the UIL wouldn't have a problem finding another home for those games.

NCAA don't want to lose control like basketball.

7on7 in some other states (Florida) have gotten to be as big a problem as AAU basketball.  That probably was the basis for the 7on7 ban in the SEC and probably the NCAA as well.
