If you have any questions/want to check my math that is very much appreciated.
I would flip flop PNG and Crosby.
welp some did. some didn't check the POLLSTERS ballot section to see how they voted. argue with them their.

These are not 1 persons poll but the accumulation of 6 representatives with outliers removed.

They are until Oct. 28th.

Then they will just be real disappointed.

GCM can go 1-9 as long as that 1 is BH.
We'll see what happens this Friday. I like our chances.

(By the way, as hard as it was, I voted BH as the #1 team in this poll.)

All hope isn't lost then........ ;D ;D  I'll tell you what, Dayton and BH better watch GCM. I won't stand here and say they will beat BH, but they sure have the ability.  I'll tell you another thing, Dayton has ZERO chance of beating them if GCM has the right game plan.  If GCM coaches know what they are doing they will beat Dayton.

That coaching staff puts together decent gameplans.

GCM's problem has been execution of that game plan. Only 1 team lined up and out-athleted them: Manvel. Turnovers and penalties have cost them at least 2 two games: LCM and Nederland. I still can not figure out how they lost to CE King.
I gotta admit, GCM usually plays us tough. I am more worried about GCM than anybody we have left on our schedule. However I don't think GCM will be able to stop our improving offense from scoring at will. It will be up to our defense to stop the explosive GCM offense. I think they will be up to the task.

GCM's defense, run and pass, has really come around.  We will have run behind a lot of zone blocking.  We won't outrun them around the ends like we did Dayton.  They pass defense if pretty salty too.

If it freaking rains again i am just gonna hurl a bronco.  Can't take another one of those games.

BH 70  GCM 10?
What is this, the number of players in  the football program whose parents went to school in GCCISD? Sure as heck is not an accurate prediction of the score.

My thoughts exactly. I think it's about right the way it is. The whole poll is as a matter of fact. In my humble opinion. Things may be different next week. When BH loses and Dayton creams GCM...Broncos #1 baby!!!

just saying hawkeye, if dayton wins and BH loses... i'll be putting u at 3. behind nederland and  livingston. and depending on the circumstances 4/still behind bh.
I think he is referring to the district title.  Problem with his scenario is that when GCM loses to BH we win in a head to head anyway (remember that BH beat-down?).  ;D ;D

    • Sure.  You reassign an employee and they leave voluntarily instead of being fired and being open to litigation.  The outcome is the same, but you are making my point.  The superintendent and AD and principal are all empowered to make personnel decisions.  Instead of accepting the decision made, you talk about lawyering up, no one else was reprimanded, railroad job.  I am old enough to remember when high school sports taught life lessons...accountability being chief among them.
    • I know absolutely nothing about the situation, but I do know head coaches of sports other than the AD have actual teaching assignments, and I know from my wife having worked in the sped department of multiple schools that it’s not uncommon at all for coaches to shirk those duties.  It could very well be that this was the case at BC.  Or not, I don’t know.  Just bringing this up to point out the fact that, although many coaches only want to worry about coaching, they generally have several other responsibilities at the school.  some of them neglect or ignore these duties entirely.  If he’s been written up for other issues before, it’s a dumb argument to say “he was punished for this and others were not”.  If he had a pile of write ups in his file and they did not then it makes sense that the punishments were different.
    • He wasn’t fired, he was reassigned and people get reassigned all the time. If he was actually fired, then you would have a point, but he wasn’t fired. Based on the information presented here no way this would stand if they fired him and he lawyered up.
    • I heard the assistant was going to get this job and assume it was referring to the old Vidor coach, Nate Smith.  I always thought he did more with less at Vidor and can't help but think he shares some responsibility in Vidor's recent success.
    • Classic Bridge City.  Always someone else's fault, refs/umpires cheated, AD with an agenda, yada, yada, yada.  As far as I can tell it's damn near impossible to get fired at these schools so when someone does get fired, it's usually something.  Drama at Bridge City is a constant.  The guy did a good job coaching basketball and I'm sure he'll continue that somewhere else.  Time to move on.
