Jack Rhodes Stadium?

Anyone ever played there or seen a game there?  My brother said the field sucked.  Now that suprised me considering it's in Katy and they got that big money.

I was there on the sidelines when WOS lost to Wimberly and that was the worst field turf I've seen. It was worn and not soft, like say Moorehead Stadium in Conroe. However, the rest of the stadium is very nice. Maybe they've replaced that truf.

A lot of teams use the artificial grassy turf.  I see that Rhodes stadium uses that old Astro Turf.  It hear it's like playing on cement with a thin carpet over it...

That's what my brother said...they could feel the cement under the turf.  That can't be good for the knees!

It is the old style Astro turf and it is glued to cement.  The good news is that it is extremely fast to run on.

This is true.....which is good for Central. Showcase that defensive speed!

Katy does have field turf not the old astro turf. That stuff was taken out a few years ago. I've seen quite a few games there over the years and been on the field,( not playing but walking) and I have never heard a complaint from coaches or players.

Yes they do have field turf now.

Rhodes stadium is just as good as any other stadium.  Same playing surface as Moorehead, Dayton, Crosby, etc.  It is a very nice stadium.

Rhodes stadium is just as good as any other stadium.  Same playing surface as Moorehead, Dayton, Crosby, etc.  It is a very nice stadium. 

We've played in Dayton and at Crosby...this field sucks compared to those!

Astro Turf surface, Two running teams, whoa. All we need is a dry surface. Them Jags gonna be quick on that surface.
