They've got decent backups that they don't even mix in, so obviously exhaustion becomes key.

I think the ones in jerseys on the sidelined are injured and I think some are just on the roster but don't actually practice or play. Wasted spots if you ask me

The end of the first half and beginning of the second half were crucial.  Ned could’ve been more aggressive and made it a 2 score game before half, then PNG owned the first 9 minutes of the 3rd qtr where they overcame 2 1st and 20 situations, the running into the kicker, then onside kick… think it took a lot out of the Dog defense

Like I said earlier on either here or the PNG forum, Dayton and Nederland seem to always be a close game.  They better be careful how they walk, lest they fall.

True but could’ve said same thing about the facemask from the back judge a mile away and behind the play on the 3rd and long sack by #20 PNG that gave Ned a first and they went on to score.

Yes. I would be weary of the MCM loss malaise. Dayton looked pretty bad against us, but they have some players.

I’ll say this, Nederland is built like the PNG teams of the past few years.  It’s not sexy but they’re gonna line up and run the rock, and play solid stout fundamentally sound defense.  I was impressed with them.

Nederland has improved since last year. They are very physical upfront on both sides of the ball. We lucked out with the win with the very predictable play calling like every week.

If the Bulldogs lose to Texas City that they never play good, they will be 3rd or 4th and either travel to Huntsville are Montgomery and be 1 and done. Must win the last 2 to come in 2nd

Friday is going to be crucial for the Bulldogs sue hope they’re not flat. DL pretty good however OL is not

One of the players has been injured for four years and had only played a few snaps. Guess those patches on those letterman jackets are crucial. One of the other players has played full time on JV and definitely isn’t good enough to play on Varsity. Just my 2 Cents

I don’t think Texas City’s defense can handle Nederland’s run game, and Texas City certainly doesn’t do anything on offense Nederland can’t handle. Nederland’s going to win around 42-14

When has Nederland played good against Texas City? They just scored 31 on Dayton. Nederland has 2 good running backs but I am not impressed with the OL and the 2 QB ‘s do not throw well and 1 of the QB’s can’t run out of site in a day

IDK what you're referring to, but I can imagine, and am not surprised at pretty much anything.  Our daughter worked at the gate on the home side and said that she lost count how many people were escorted out by police.  I can only imagine what went on on the visitor side.  Ned band and students were playing and singing songs that most high schools and colleges have banned.  But, it's always crazy.  As long as things don't get too out of hand, and no one gets hurt.
