You keep giving the attention and buying into Montgommery as you said on yalls podcast. We hope to have a Mid County Madness #2 in the post season finally.

LOL we've talked plenty about both teams and when both teams are good and playing the rivalry will definitely be talked about...I def had Nederland as a hipster pick this year back in August and I'm glad they have proven me correct..

PNG started slow, but they dont have a bad loss on the resume...just watched last week's game online and noticed Gohlke at QB and the last PNG game I watched (Crawford) Ashworth was QB

Jimmy's and Joe's are pretty even this year, The  difference is likely the coaching . But we all know, anything can happen  Friday night.

It may update later but this is the day that I check them and post and I have went back later in the week and it doesn't change from Mondays.

This rival game can be close some years but this isn't one of them.  PN-G's overall production in all three phases is better.  Watch the next several opponents go down; one game at a time.  Nederland is the next win on the way to an undefeated district championship for PN-G.

In Mid-County Madness, throw the records out once the ball is kicked off. 

The Bulldogs need Jaedon Ned and their running game to keep the chains moving, control possession, and keep PNG's offense on the sideline. Long, sustained drives would be a major advantage for Nederland. Brayden Clay can turn a short completion into a bigger play. Plus his dynamic special teams play. 

If the Indians hit explosive plays early, Nederland could be forced to abandon its preferred game plan. Not good for the Bulldogs. This is Nederland’s most talented front 7 since those mid 2010’s years.

In a rivalry this intense, one interception, fumble, or special-teams mistake can decide everything. Nederland needs to play disciplined football.

If the Bulldogs can hold PNG under 25 points, win the turnover battle, and run the ball effectively. The Dogs will come out on top and spoil the party at the Rez. Going to be a great game like always come Friday Night.

Not much chatter this week but I will throw my thoughts out there. More like questions. 

Can the Nederland secondary cover the PNG WR's? 

Can the PNG Oline slow down Nederland's front 7?

Will Nederland be able to contain Gohlke on broken plays?

Will PNG be able to run the ball consistent enough to slow down any pass rush?

Nederland always seems to have some big play that almost seems like destiny in the games they win. Will that be in the air for them Friday? 

 

Unless one team just doesn't show up with anything but their F game, this will be a close one that has both sides stressed.

Nederland should think they have this game won.  After all, they beat Crawford and PNG lost to Crawford, so they can just show up and beat PNG.  That's the word I'm hearing.
