My Smoaky contact says Carthage fans are claiming the game was only close due to the poor and very bias officiating crew.

Those guys gripe about anything.

Yeah I seen that, someone brought up Beaumont chapter, I didn't know they had one.

Beaumont still has it's local TASO Chapter. Not as big as it use to be but has around 12 crews I believe. Maybe less.

Throwing gas on the fire... we had an ace in stripes and still couldnt win. Wonder if he got calls from the staff this morning like he has in the past. Probably not considering nobody speaks up on social media anymore.

There were people at the game I havnt seen in years. And yes they are still very loud and proud of what the Mustang Way used to be. Defense wins championships if the offense can keep moving forward. Negative plays killed us. Not the refs. Bring back common sense play calling.

Cant beat Carthage with FGs is what i hear. Well cant beat anyone getting 1st and goal and zero points. Short FG wouldve had it tied at half. Their 46 yrd FG as time expired was the nail in the coffin. We stopped playing with confidence after half. Zero points and zero adjustments shows the level we are at.

Out coached, out scheme whatever u want to call it. They came out after half and punched us in the mouth. Literally ran straight at our boys. True smash mouth ground and pound. Physically they dominated us up front all night. And had the accuracy of a truely developed QB to make the plays. The Qb coach's son made it look easy with the speedy receivers.

Dixon Sr played ball across the river for Westlake before going to SFA. Heard some stories i cant repeat bout him and his family.

In closing... CARTHAGE gonna Carthage and WOS gonna be a second place team if they dont get it together in 2 weeks.

First, I was there.  Second, how many carries and how many yards did number 4 have?  
WOS’ QB  is not that bad.  Also, with number 4, scoring only 14 points in the last two games is a problem.

My guess is about 10 carries 50-60 yards. Couple good runs called back. But too many stopped in backfield. Qb too. Bootleg and running for his life wasnt working but they kept at it. Have to play to the strengths of our kids. Not against the grain.

The game was 10-7 at the half with the Mustangs TD coming from a pass from Kwalin Dugas to Braydon Gipson. Both players had season highs. Dugas was 13-26 for 177 yds. and Gipson caught 8 passes for 93 yds. Khelvy Jefferson had 12 carries for 76 yds. The Bulldogs (4-0) were consistent offensively posting 406 yds. of offense (188/218). The Mustangs (3-2) will get a week off before opening district play at Hamshire-Fannett.

no one said that was the only reason it was close it was an observation how incredibly bad the officiating was.  WO-S was getting away with everything under the sun, illegal hits, late hits, face masks, endless taunting - all right in front of officials. Do they always get free reign like that playing at home?  How it affects the outcome of a game is not the main concern it's that someone is going to get very badly hurt when one team is given free rain to play as cheap and dirty as they want. seen it happen too many times to count. And it's rich to hear WO-S fans scoffing at any comments about refs when their fan base are still actually blaming the refs for them getting skull drug in the state championship. LOL  They got away with all their dirty unsportmanlike play then too, they just couldn't take advantage of the assistance.

Carthage had way more personal fouls than WOS, Carthage had 2 on one play.  This Carthage team is very beatable not as dominant as previous years.
