It's a crying shame that we/us as a nation, live and die on every word one man says. What happened to loving your neighbor, minding your own business, and living life?? All I see now is EVERYONE fighting about this and that... Does it really matter that much? NOOOO! Turn off the damn news and go on about your business. Tell someone with different beliefs hi and go on. Life is too damn short to be fighting/arguing all the time!

FYI... NO one is right when it comes to fighting/arguing and trying to prove a point.

**I voted for President Trump (both times).

There is no more debate. An example, CB and all his fake profiles just try and either "win" or post for attention.
Gone are the days of truthful debate. Most don't listen, they just reply to "win"

Why even debate politics? Believe in what you want to believe in and let others believe in what they want to believe in.

If it were up to me, this particular forum wouldn't exist.

I wouldn't miss it one bit.

I must say that the tone of the dialog has moderated somewhat over the time I have been on here. Healthy political debate in the public forum is a requirement for a healthy  democracy to succeed.  To the extent that this site can serve as a place to help us guide ourselves back to healthier public discourse I say right on!

You’re in the wrong forum with that type of rhetoric, brother. Politics down here can be a mental contact sport, not for the faint of heart. I don’t disagree though.

There are too many terms in this that I don't understand.  Will someone please break this down or put it into simple terms so I can grasp the concept.

To be quite honest, I don't hate are have i’ll feelings toward anyone  on the board. Truth be told I have a good friend on here who we disagree a lot about on the forum.  When we are off this forum we check on each other. I don't take it personal neither does he or Regan.  We're retired and just sitting under the palmetto tree talking trash.  I am just a cloud with no rain passing time.  I agree with mat.

There are too many conspiracists on this forum. That doesn't leave much room for a healthy dialogue.

You have the power and authority to make that call.  Do what you must.

I have power but not ultimate power. I do not own the site.

But the owner is very aware of this forum and what it has become. If the personal attacks continue and members who have been banned keep coming back under different accounts, then he will pull the plug.

He's trying to give the forum a chance to clean itself up.

Like I said, if it were up to me.........

Why does it have to be a "mental contact sport"... Why can't people agree and/or disagree and go on about their business?

They can. If people just stick to the details of policy, or events. No one's going to change anyone's mind here. But, having information--from either someone else's personal experience/knowledge, or a vetted source--is never a bad thing.

NO one sticks to the topic at hand. Someone posts something and then it turns into a war of words or a war of memes. Have your two seconds, then go on about your business. There are bigger things to live for than politics. If politics is that much a part of your life, then you need to step back and reprioritize.

To what?

The 2020 election fraud!  Did you listen to Trump’s speech concerning China’s involvement in our elections?  Plus, using Covid as an excuse, using mail-in ballots for fraud.  The fraud of JoeBama getting 81 million votes.  Even you can’t believe that.  Plus, the Trump  lawyers that were persecuted for challenging the election are now being vindicated.

Conspiracy theory, like I said. There is no proof, only theories and accusations. I’ve read the Secretary of State’s Election Handbook. I worked elections for 40 years. They are impossible to rig on a national basis, or state for that matter. I pay close attention to rules and facts. You apparently pay close attention to propaganda.

Apparently you didn't listen to Trump's speech concerning China election interference.  He provided the proof.  But apparently you didn't work the 2020 presidential election.  You aren't naive enough to think that JoeBama got 81 million votes legally?  As I always say:  you can have your own opinions -- but you can't have your own facts!
