What colleges do is not relevant to high school performance. I could give you a list of players holding D1 offers that are borderline pathetic.

Only thing pathetic is your use of the word pathetic when talking about kids... 14, 15, 16, 17 year-old kids! Makes you sound like a pathetic, little, little man.

Cry me a river. No kids are named and no one is hurt.

The only person who is hurt is obviously you. Cause only a pathetic, little man would use the word pathetic to describe kids and their abilities... names or no names.

Thanks for the illuminating response. I have just had an epiphany. From this point forward I will no longer utilize the word “pathetic”. I will now utilize: “completely incompetent on a football field”.

Or you could shorten it to... "me" and then we will all know that you are referring to your pathetic, little self.

I dont disagree with this statement.  In the same breath, I can give you a list of "player" who received D1 offer and was not voted as the District MVP unanimously by every coach.   Yet, the MVP will be sitting at home next fall and the "second place guy" is going to be suiting it up for a local D1.  So, Yes, i completely understand your sentiment.

Has happened both ways. Many people would rate Chavis McCollister among the greatest high school players of all time. Yet, he received little to no college interest.

OL particularly receive offers based upon “size” and nothing else.

Really good high school players sometimes don't receive D1 offers for different reasons. Some don't show up at as many camps as others and when they do they might have a bad day at the camp and not look that impressive. Some don't participate in powerlifting and track events that some scouts use to verify strength and speed. Some don't have a lot of film readily available. Some just don't fit the "measurables" that scouts look for at certain positions. Some have bad grades or test scores. Lot of things have to get checked off for D1 offers most times and the best 3A high school players don't always hit all the checks. I'm sure Jones can play somewhere although it may not be D1 and who's to say he doesn't end up at a D1 after a couple years at a juco or D3. It's happened before

Josh Allen is a good example.

yes, that's our stance on the subject matter.  I believe most would agree that Jones is capable of playing defense on multiple levels across the ncaa ranks.  but, for some reason, unknown to anyone, he was left behind to do it on his own, from what i am told by a particular coach.

Chavis McCollister from Tenaha.

I remember Chavis Gregory from the 2012 squad.  For some reason, I can't recall who McCollister is and year?

Damn, coming on kind of strong. Nunan was a hell of a lineman at Hardin and I will root for him at the next level, but there is no denying who was the heart and soul of that Hardin team last year. Jones was a leader on both sides of the ball, was a hell of a good football player, and probably gave his OL and DL all the credit for his achievements. No need to come on the back end and diminish his accomplishments just because your son/cousin/brother/friend's name wasn't printed in the headlines.
