Honest Question

James Comey was just re-indicted by the DOJ for reposting a picture of some seashells arranged in the sand to read 8 6 4 7 on Instagram.  It could mean a lot of things, or nothing. The most plausible explanation is that it means to “86” (or get rid of) “Trump” (the 47th President).  This could mean by means of just saying “throw the bum out,” the 25th Amendment, an Impeachment proceeding, or as the DOJ pretends, a call for assassination.  
 

The fact that the DOJ was instructed to persecute Comey by Trump is so stupid that it’s not even funny. What was it.. two month ago that Trump was saying “Good..: I’m glad he’s dead” about Mueller? 
 

The question is this… how can you support a flawed person like Trump, saying “oh, you Snowflakes just can’t handle a few mean tweets from Trump,” somehow square your beliefs with also being okay with a weaponized DOJ prrosecuting Comey for what could, at worst, be described as a mean tweet?

 

I don’t think a MAN could be okay with both. How do yall defend it?

Not a MAGA person—or even a Trump voter—but, I assume they defend it the same way the Dems, Socialists, and Progressives defend applauding King Charles while attending ‘No Kings’ rallies.

I think there’s a big difference between saying “this is America- we elect a President, we don’t coronate a king. You won’t see our leader’s face and name all over federal buildings, programs, and documents. We elect leaders, they don’t ascend to power via birthright,” while also paying respect to a king from one of our allies which actually has a monarchy. 
 

Id also like to point out that King Charles doesn’t have near the powers at his disposal that an American President has.  They’re basically a figurehead. The question to ask is whether the President should also just be a figurehead in light of the fact that the masses will elect a rapist, felon, and character deficient person like Trump, given the opportunity.

I guess I missed where Trump was convicted of rape.  Do you get your news from The View?

He wasn’t convicted in a criminal trial, but a jury determined that a rape had occurred and awarded damages.  Trump was also found to have defamed the victim after the judgment was entered. 
 

They’ll resume with trumps appeal of the jury’s award once he’s no longer in office.  But he did it according to the jury, then he got rung up again for continuing to defame the victim after it was determined that he raped her.

 The Comey indictment in my opinion is dead on arrival. It’s not because of any interpretation of the message but because there’s no threat, even if it is interpreted in favor of the indictment. Saying that I wished something would happen is not the same as threatening it. 

Had the seashells be prefaced with: “I will…”, it would be a different story.

Is it any different than the Kathy Griffin severed head? Had she posted: “I am going to…”, there would have been a different outcome. 

It’s silly in this current climate to point out one side and not another however.

I’m a fan of the DOJ investigating allegation of criminal activity without regard to the political affiliations of the accused.  Suspects shouldn’t be “above” an investigation simply because of their political leanings, nor should they be persecuted for them, either. I realize that Trump’s “revenge” tour is what his diehard minority like Reagan want, but most Americans think it’s stupid.

I can be a little slow at times, so forgive me for not understanding why someone starts an honest question topic asking how some can defend something, when I haven’t seen anyone defending the subject matter. That’s just me though.🤔
