Before Barbers Hill and Huffman came in it was Madisonville. Coldspring, Cleveland, and Madisonville were the ones making it out then.

I remember that district as well.  Coldspring was mainly running through that district and any district for the most part in the 90s.  That's when everyone was scared to play us.  I also remember Trinity being in some of those districts as well as they were pretty good in basketball at the time.

@CDub86 Just saw that we play y'all for our first game in district for Homecoming... Very interesting.

I saw that. I was hoping Coldspring wouldn’t get moved so we could play. We play Shepherd again too, pretty close to the old days

What years were madisonville in the district?

Only ask because when I was in high-school they weren't in the district

Got a chance to beat Coldspring. Could be the only win for either team. Shepherd will be non-competitive. I doubt Shepherd would have been on the schedule if the HC was staying.

May not be but you never know…

No chance to be competitive. Coldspring would have exited the Battle of San Jacinto if admin had let them. I imagine the BOSJ will end up like the "Rice Bowl" with EC and HF.

Same could have been said when the shoe was on the other foot when we were doing all the winning in the series.

Was just about to say the same thing. Didn’t Coldspring win the match up in 24-25?

Yes... I was at the game posting updates on here and to me for all of the games of the series especially at least the ones I've seen this was the very best game bar none.

One thing I always wanted to know:  Who is Tarkington's true rival? (I don't think that Cleveland has ever considered them as rivals.)

Used to be Splendora, Battle of the Bell. I know we had a recent rivalry with Hardin but that looks to be over now.
