I lost count of how many times they left the bases loaded or how many total left on.  Hitting was great just couldn't score. I'll take it.

I thought McCullers did well after the HR on the 3rd pitch of the game. King can’t throw the 3rd strike to end a game. It’s probably the toughest strike to throw, but it needs to be done.

2-0 combined 1 hitter this was one Stros really needed.  Denzenzo 2 great catches and other defensive plays.  No no thru 7 by Arrighetti,  not perfect but pretty goodwith walks,  King saves.  What a difference a day makes. Go Stros

Astros pitching was awesome tonight. Arighetti with a no-no in 7.1 innings. Dezenzo with a fantastic catch in left field. Paredes with a solo shot.

Wow a 2 game streak 4-1 win and the Boot.  4 solo Dingers,  Teng pitches a 2 hit shut out in 6 then BP comes in and makes it scary interesting.

Houston loses 8-0 to Arlington.

More importantly (and true to form for this season) Altuve is put on IL with a Grade 2 oblique strain.

Makes 15 on the current IL. 19 total.

Abreu keeps you on the edge of your seat. That was a close win and I will take it after the tough loss last night due to rainout.

Astros pitching is improving.

In the first 30 games of season, Houston had a 6.2 team ERA.

Last 20 games the ERA has been 4.2. Two run difference in ERA. That's a good trend.

Now offensively, Houston was averaging a little over 5 runs a game in the first 30 games. In the last 20, run production has been 3.4 per game.

Astros beat the Cubbies 4-2 Arrighetti wins with his shut out innings, now 1.32 ERA.  Vasques continues good hitting with 3 run dinger.
