What makes you think they would have? like a legit reason they would have blown them out? Don't say speed because yoakum had plenty of that. Yoakum towers newton on the line and had more depth everywhere.

How you figure that? I think you are reaching at straws. Yoakum had a ton of good players as well.

Exactly.  Newton struggled with Jefferson who was not very good at all.  Jefferson got blown out by Commerce.

Commerce also wasn't great but had a decent run and lost out to Grandview.

We all know what happened to Grandview - got handled by Yoakum in the championship. 

All in all, the numbers, matchups, and science from the entire season says it all. 

Yoakum was about even or slightly better than Newton.

And Hardin/Yoakum were very similar in strength.  Game could have went either way had QB-bishop not got injured.

I agree in no way would we know the outcome but Im sure 99% would say it would be a great game. In no way would it have been a blow out.

There's plenty talent in Woodville. Gonna need a lot more than one player to leave before we run out of talent. Don't know why everybody likes to try and down play "Little league" coaches on here but "Little league" coaches played a huge part in building up the Woodville program FYI. I remember back before we had a little league program. We were mostly mediocre. Sometimes way below mediocre. These "little league" coaches are the guys who dont mind doing it for free while most of these ADs will catch the first train smoking if the money right.
