68 score for Kirbyville.  1 point better.

FWIW, I am simply being a smart butt.  Wish all the schools in the entire setx area had no school below B.

Yea but thanks. I did some research and it definitely looks like Woodville's overall academic performance has significantly dropped in recent years. I didn't realize it was getting that bad

If you look to the South the Kountze school district won some state championships last year in basketball. Look to the north and Woodville was in the state football championship. The biggest common denominator between these two are large housing complex's. Warren has none, these rural folks put their heart and soul into their Ag program. Not that there's anything wrong with that but it's the difference between winning and losing athletics programs.

Just might be some of these fan coaches are not too far off with the Woodville football program. You might want to look at Woodville's sub varsity scores. Being  a large 3A2 team they should have better sub varsity teams. Same goes for Warren. It all starts down there. Example— Newton Jv 50 Woodville 0.

"Fan coaches" got nothing to do with that.

Yes and no. At the small school level, the really good Freshmen and Sophomores play on Varsity. Stark difference than larger schools.

Not at WV. They had a QB with D1 offers playing JV.

3-A D-II Champs (housing projects do not equal state championships).  Champions are actually trending to non- Title I schools

They are saying that the football coaches are not developing  the players .

OK I misunderstood what you were saying. Coaches can't seem to get the best out of all the players though. Lot of guys didn't play up to their potential. Partially because some weren't being put on the field. Defense was just horrible the majority of the year. Offense was pretty good as expected but it was questionable at times also. Critical play near the goal line against Edgewood and we hand it up the middle to a hundred pound sophomore (very talented but still young) instead of giving it to our senior 230 pound returning offensive player of the year who scored the game winning TD in the state semi finals the year before. That play ended up being ruled a fumble when that probably could have been avoided. I was very confused about that

Not too bad considering Woodville has the bigger classrooms of these schools. Kids are able to learn better in smaller classrooms but I'm pretty sure Woodville is above average compared to other schools it's size. All the Tyler County schools are decent though

Woodville reported a whopping 20 more kids than Warren…Classroom size isn’t the issue…
