Why does the elite 409 bball programs play in this terrible tourney? It’s plenty of other great/competitive tourney’s that they can play in to get their teams better.

Because BISD runs this tourney and it's a money maker for them?

Tournament is not terrible. Are there better ones? Yes. But this isn't terrible.
