The intensity was high for the players during the game... It was a player only scuffle. Not a Brawl. if every time players wrestle and tussle was considered a "Brawl" we would not have much football being played.

+1

If a brawl actually occurred I would think this site would've known about it Friday Night, not on a Monday. 🤷🏾‍♂️

The game is over. Doesn't matter if there was a brawl or not.

Mommy and daddy got a picture with their little participant.

So Vidor parents are the only ones that take pictures with their kids after the game?

I believe that happens after every high school football game nationwide.

"arguably the best athlete in the district"

You're right. I'm sure there's many people that would argue that.

Warren leads or is near the top of the district in interceptions, fumble recoveries, punt return yards, punt return TD’s, kickoff return yards and is 5th in all purpose yards overall. He’s pretty dang good.

Yes he is.

I talked with three head coaches in this district and all believe #0 is the best athlete.

The one game I saw him play (vs. Lumberton) he looked really good.

Are you guys talking about the same kid? I thought we were talking about #1 from HJ? Are you talking about #0 from LCM?

Cool... good for them.

If I were 1-8 on the season, I know I wouldn't be in any mood to have my picture taken...But it's the new generation, and as long as you show up, you did a good job.

#0 is Blake Walker
#1 is D'Corian Warren

Call me crazy, but QB1 from Huffman should be mentioned in any conversation regarding the best athlete in the district. I've seen that dude play multiple times, and he is legit!

I agree.

Cook for Huffman should be in the convo.

But if I had to make one single choice, I would go with what those three HC's (neither was HJ's HC) stated about #1 for HJ. They are the ones who have to coach against him.

I promise you none of them are happy about their record this year. Lots of injuries, lack of depth, underclassman and size have made it a rough season but it doesn’t take away from the hard work the kids have put in to represent their school. The kids have played hard and that’s all you can ask of them. As a parent of one of the players I have seen the hard work at the gym outside of showing up to practice at 5am in the morning, the multiple broken bones, dislocated fingers and shoulder surgery and rehab from playing football the last few years. This isn’t the way he wanted to go out his senior year but we’re proud of his never give up attitude. A lot of our players have battled through a lot this year, they’re not just participates they’re FOOTBALL PLAYERS!
