I say send that other LP elsewhere and add yall 🤷🏾‍♂️

Would be a solid district. Of course, if they move us and Angleton in with Randle & Iowa Colony, it would be the 5A equivalent of 23-6A.

I think with Angleton, Pasadena, SoHo, Northbrook, Friendswood, Ball & others that are closer, La Porte is kind of a floater.

Well, in this case it would help them travel wise.

That DII district currently has Anderson-Shiro, New Waverly and Trinity. Also, Woodville and Newton are much longer drives than what they face currently.

yeah, they probably don't need help traveling.   what's 20 more miles to a feller

I wonder how bad losing Crosby, BH in District 9 will mess it up…

did Sterling go Div 2?

Sterling is still D1 along with GCM. I count 25 5A D1 teams in R3 (including Lufkin). Three R3 districts of 8, or 2 with 8 & 1 with 9 maybe?

5A D1 Teams presumably in R3:

  1. BWB
  2. Pasadena
  3. Angleton
  4. La Porte
  5. Sterling
  6. Spring Westfield
  7. Fort Bend Dulles
  8. Houston Northbrook
  9. GCM
  10. Milby
  11. Houston Math & Science Tech
  12. Katy Freeman
  13. South Houston
  14. New Caney
  15. Richmond Randle
  16. PAM
  17. Lufkin ***
  18. Galveston Ball
  19. Friendswood
  20. BU
  21. Iowa Colony
  22. Kingwood Park
  23. Richmond Tomas
  24. New Caney Porter
  25. Houston Spring Woods

Oh okay thanks, well we all know 3 districts of 8 sounds fair but I’m sure the 2nd option will happen with the UIL..

Can probably add the Austin/Pflugerville/College Station district teams in there as well.

That would be the 4th district then...the current 12-5A. I'll have to see if any of them moved a classification. I didn't check that.

Interestingly enough, I'd say no single district in 5A D1 R3 (from my mock above) is THAT much heads above anyone else. 10-5A would be very tough. But, 9-5A would also return at least 3 solid teams, 11-5A would have Westfield & Lufkin, and 12-5A would still have their 4 regulars.

I'd rank them 10-5A, 12-5A/9-5A, 11-5A as of right now just guessing.

My only switch would be Kingwood Park to District 11.

Also what is Pflugerville Connally and Pflugerville High numbers? Thought they were going D1(Connally).......

Pflugerville D2. Connally D1. Add Connally to 12-5A. Gives them 9 again.

KP was a toss-up to me as far as east or north. East actually makes a little more sense.

Yeah Pflugerville High is. I had to double check Pflugerville Connally, they're D1, their number is right below Iowa Colony.

I was editing as you were posting. 😁

Add Connally to 12-5A. Gives them 9 again.
