Tarkington would be more competitive back in 3A. Seems like that area is growing..

They are likely to drop. Their enrollment is down significantly from last realignment (well below the last cut line).

I sure hope they don't drop. Need them to stay in order to have at least a 6 team DII district since BC, HJ and Liberty (who are DII enrollment) chose to opt up. I expect them to do the same in this realignment. (even though BC may have DI enrollment this time around)

A 5 team district is not good. Have to schedule 6 non-district games which is virtually impossible. Be better off playing each district foe twice, eight games, then only having 2 non district games but that won't happen.

If HJ and Liberty would just stay DII, then no issues.

Liberty opted up and I don’t think they have done any better than D2. Bridge City would be a playoff contender in our district this year imo.

Probably so but they are the favorites to win that DI district as it stands now.

I dont believe that it is settled on HJ and especially Liberty, opting up again. Dont know much about BC. I honestly see no way for Tarkington to remain up.

Do they opt up in hopes of making the playoffs? They virtually have no chance playing Silsbee, WOS, HF, and Jasper.

Bridge City would beat Jasper and maybe HF.

Tarkington is set to drop and I was told Hardin is on the 3AD2 bubble.  Then, there's always Woodville and Warren as to where they will land?   I dont know much about Liberty or HJ but if they stay D2 where they belong, it will certainly make things interesting with the remainder of the d2 and d1 beaumont area teams.

You are correct. Hardin is right on the edge. If HJ and Liberty stay down it could push Shepherd north or southwest. Crockett is also likely to drop as well which would likely remove AS, Trinity and NW.

I would be ok with Tarkington dropping back down maybe that would push Coldspring into a different district and i wouldn't have to make that drive in two years LOL. Someone said Hardin may drop, I dont think they will they were 30 over the cutoff last realignment but if they did that would be Tarkingtons spot.

Would that put Hardin in the Woodville, Newton District?

Lol I hope not.  That would put us back into that Westwood district again.

I can't see Shepherd going north if HJ and Liberty stays down.  Now southwest more likely in that La Marque district.
