I didn’t read all four pages, but has anyone explained how our political leaders continue to get paid during a government shutdown?

They still get paid. Someone had a bill making it where congress doesn’t get paid during a shutdown. That could curb some resistance. Of course, DOGE cut some of their payroll. Lol

“Affordable” healthcare, lol.

What an absolute dumpster fire.

Did the Republicans offer a replacement?   The last time they did was in 2017.  Since then, there efforts have shifted away from complete overhaul.

The shutdown shouldn’t be about Obamacare. That’s not till Dec. 31.  The government shut down because Dems would not vote to extend a bill they had voted for in the past. It’s a clean bill, meaning no junk. Dems wanted healthcare for illegals, which is junk. Republicans said no. End of story.

He has had a mental breakdown.

That was when he was acting like a Democrat.  Once he recovered he started making sense!  You know — like a Republican.  I’d tell him to come on over, the water’s warm!

He has had a mental breakdown.

He had a stroke and was subsequently treated for clinical depression. After regaining his health, an exorcism was performed and he responded by making critical judgement decisions. He now votes his heart. He voted against the shutdown. Democrats reject him for being bi-partisan.

This is odd and I don’t know what her motivation is. This has got to be the biggest flip flop I have seen in a long time besides Fetterman.  Hurt people, hurt people.  However, she does admit who to blame for the shutdown.

Kinda like Fetterman.

Both sides need more Fettermans. Willing to use common sense and vote for what's best for the country and his constituents, rather than what his party tells him to vote for. I'll be honest, that's a statement I never thought I'd utter.

Maybe she is using common sense.  Be very thought I would hear it coming from her.  She has been very vocal as of late.  Speaking out in support of victims.

For both sides, I think they want their 15 minutes of fame, especially if they go against their party. Did they change anything for the better, or did they get their mug on tv.
