The atmosphere has been cleaned up a bit, ever since the Thanksgiving Day 2019 incident. WRT the game, PNG shouldn't need too much home cooking I'm hoping. BTW, without checking the internet, I think this may be the first time to play Huntsville in Port Neches in quite a while, if ever. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote

Matthew328 Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Just watched PNG's demolition of Lake Creek...really impressive Bailey and those WR's are locked in...combine that with two excellent backs and what is still a very good OL and the PNG offense is REALLY hard to stop. Huntsville physically can push PNG a bit....RB Brown and QB Adolphe are outstanding, but consistency is still an issue with them IMO, the two really good teams they've played...they've lost...so I'm not sure Huntsville is on that elite level right now.... OlDawg Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago I don't see Huntsville as being anywhere near the same level as PN-G. Indians in a relatively easy win at home. Quote
prepballfan Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago To me La Porte is a much better version of Huntsville. By the way La Porte Go make a name for yourselves this year. You guys have a great program and great sportsmanship. It was awesome watching the players from each team helping each other up and giving each other pats on the helmet after good plays. Well coached kiddos over there. OlDawg 1 Quote

Well coached kiddos over there. They're getting things set after our game. Similar to last year. Many of the adjustments discussed were made. Berneathy treats pre-district as a learning period. Although, I know he'd also prefer winning the games vs losing them. I hope we keep playing each other--pending realignment issues--as the last game before district. It's a good, physical test where each team can learn a lot about their needs before the 'real season' starts. Even though it's physical, both teams play clean. So, unless it's just an accident, injuries aren't really a concern. Can't say that about every team. prepballfan 1 Quote

We have a pretty young team this season. Playing a great team like LaPorte will do us noting but good by exposing what areas we need to work on. Quote
