That's your opinion and it almost makes sense but your probably wrong again. #2 was the house and he's gone. Good bit of the exterior of the front 7 is gone.

I know it was just 7 on 7…. But based off what happened last week at the state 7 on 7 and Matt being there then he probably got a good view of what they have skill position wise… Hopefully we will see… but solid chance these two ain’t playing in the state semi finals.

They almost won 7on7 last year also. Doesn't necessarily mean they're going to be unbeatable.

And they got to the state semifinals last year and barely lost to Woodville...

Tidehaven returns 9 on offense and 8 on defense they only lost ten seniors and return 28 lettermen which is a huge # for a 3A-D2

They bring back:

4-year starter at QB

4-year starter at WR/LB

All-state DB and a starter at WR

All-state LB

A trio of three-year starters on the OL

A three-year starter at DT

 

They do have to settle on a RB and replace two DE's but 17 starters back from a state semifinalist is going to put them at the top of just about anyone's ranking list

If I'm not mistaken Newton has won their district every year since 1993.....  They may not have even lost a district game since then...  Can any of you Newton guys confirm?  Is Woodville good enough to take the crown away from Newton?

No. At this moment it appears that WV would be unable to beat Crockett.

Yea if you can't make the difference between a scrimmage and a game. Pretty sure Woodville would beat Crockett in a actual game. Newton is a different ball game but we'll figure that out as the season moves along

Perhaps, but they definitely kept it to themselves. Probably don’t need to worry about Newton.

And fortunately, none of those 6 will be against "Crockett". No telling what Crockett will look like when they get adjusted to the new offensive system.

Newton has won 13 straight district titles. They finished 2nd in 2011. Currently on a 79 game district winning streak.

Yep, and I have heard that Crockett ran at will on WV. Can’t see a scenario where Newton running game would not be more formidable than Crockett.

Folks got a lot to say based off what they heard about a scrimmage. It's wild to me considering the fact that I know what this group is capable of based on what I've seen them do on all levels the last few years. But yall carry on

A lot of things can change in one offseason… I saw it in Bellville last year. And that was with keeping the coaching staff in tact… The juniors on that state finals team that lost to Gilmer were the more talented class than the seniors.. 3 D1 kids… but they had 0 leadership. Combine that with injuries and a region favorite was bounced in the second round last year. So many factors in high school football

Are they "capable of scoring against Crockett"? We haven't seen them do that at the "current level this year".

It wouldn't matter unless there was an actual game between the 2. Buna supposedly beat Newton in a scrimmage last year according to some posters but only loonies would think Buna would've beaten them in a game.

This week Woodville will scrimmage Livingston who were 0-10 last year And picked 7th their district this year. Woodville should do good and will be world beaters again  and on your way to state. 
Nothing to see over here in Newton. You should have no problem with little old Newton.

One team scores 7 times the other team scores none. The team that scored 7 times did not win but they beat the heck out of them.
