I stood on the sidelines for that game last year. Trust me, Hardin was good enough to win that game. EC got the win, 28-22, but it was a battle from start to finish. EC got a score on a pick 6 and another set up by a fumble deep in Hardin territory. Hardin actually had more offensive yards than EC.

With what Hardin has returning (19 starters, 24 of 29 lettermen) I would favor them in the game over EC. EC getting them at home is a plus but very curious who replaces Fontenot at QB.

EC having the upper hand over Hardin in the past helps with the confidence. But I have to believe Hardin will be coming into this season with lots of confidence.

was told hardin had a new qb but dont know much about him?  do you know if the previous qb from last two seasons graduated or did he stay on the team and get asked to play another position?

I believe the QB for Hardin last year was a senior.

According to my source:  Transferred in last year as a freshman.  Speedster on the track (low 50s 1/4 miler).  Don't know much about him.  Don't even know if he played any offense prior to this year.

Here's what I believe.. their offense will be tough to stop.  Almost all of it is back from the group that Westwood couldn't stop last year in the playoffs.  Can they stop someone? I'm not the one to ask.. but I'd bet that the only team that will stop Hardin's offense is Hardin.

Ok that makes sense.  Any other move ins or kids to watch outside of those known returners from last year that you are hearing about?

I know nothing about a transfer QB at EC.

Will try to make next week scrimmage vs. Crockett to see what we have.  This may be the smallest (size wise) we have ever fielded due to pics I've seen of the team already with our watermelon scrimmage and Meet the Trojans this past weekend.
