This is where liberals want to lie and get on TV telling folks those repubs want to take away your food stamps.

No, no we don't. We want to ensure others aren't defrauding the system. We want to stop the woman that is paying for groceries with food stamps then in a second purchase buy ribeyes, bottles of wine and cases of beer with a roll of money in their Louis Vuitton purse. She will have a $200 hairdo and $150 worth of nails done. Roll it all outside and unload it into a $75K vehicle. She does not need food stamps. It is pulling money away from those that need the assistance.

I've seen people use the SNAP card and get in nicer vehicles than I have.....more than once.....

They may park it in a garage that is about to fall down, but does not mean I have not seen it.

I have no idea if real or not but a fake is $200-$300. But it is the rest of the list. Steaks, lobsters, crab, nails, hair, vehicle.

People presenting government assistance to buy "essentials" and paying cash for crap a lot of us can't afford but do without is stealing from the government (which is you and I). Taxpayers should not be on the hook for those less fortunate to eat like the wealthy. I know they may want to but NO.

Since u insist... taxes? How's this any different than the rich getting away with paying lil to no taxes? Ahhh the loopholes 🙄 

Has DOGE went after those ppl? Doubt it cuz it would include musk and Conald and a list of D's etc

The difference is they are not breaking the law in most cases. Taking advantage of the tax code is legal. I do not agree with it and I think the whole tax code needs to go in the garbage but that is a different discussion.

Eagle beat me to it, there is nothing illegal with following the tax code -  but since you bring up taxes......

Obama raised taxes on I think 400 of he richest and I think the top 1% - but of course, they uses the tax law to take every legal deduction they could. So did it really help.....and would it have in the big picture?

Biden's Billionaire tax was going to really stick it to the successful.....For 2 years they had control of the house and senate......Did it pass??? Nope......

So lets try again, which abuses do you think we are ok with....something, like abuse of the snap program that breaks a law. 

**As a reminder, doing something that is completely legal that benefits you or your family is not an abuse.

I get it, that being said who doesn't lie to benefit themselves or family? Expensive as things are makes me wanna get these benefits.. I'd be a liar if I said I haven’t bought foodstamps many times over the years.... half off everything? Yeah, wrong or not I've done it and need to find someone else selling em... js

My Father pasted away in December of 2020, he would of been 90 Jan 19th.  I remember several months before he passed, I took him to Wal-Mart to pick up some things. That was a big deal in itself, because I drove his truck. He didn't want to give up the keys, but he had no business on the road. He had Lewy body dementia, so it affects mind and balance.

Anyway, we had to park several spots from the entrance and he was struggling to walk but refused to use a walker. I picked up a shopping cart on the way and he used that to help him walk and keep his balance.  I told him he should get a handicap sticker for his truck so he could park close. He looked at me straight in the eyes and said, " Son, they only give out so many of those, so I don't want to take one away from someone who really needs it". 

Lying to benefit your family or any type of fraud, takes money or goods from someone.  BTW, my Dad was raised poor, lived on a houseboat in Louisiana and started working when he was around 10. He made a good life for himself because he seen what poor was.
