Was voted best atmosphere for Friday night games by MLB early in the season. Just saw last week they also won best food by MLB Park again like 3rd time last 6 years. Quote
baddog Posted Wednesday at 12:39 AM Author Report Posted Wednesday at 12:39 AM No Astros on final All Star ballot. I’d rather have a team loaded with 2nd place players. Quote

AggiesAreWe Posted Wednesday at 12:45 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 12:45 AM Just now, baddog said: Yes I figured that's what you were talking about. I see Pena making it as a reserve (but likely will elect not to play) and Brown and Valdez being on the pitching staff along with Hader. Quote

Bregman and Tucker no longer with us, but hey, our players are getting the job done. That’s all that matters. Quote
baddog Posted Wednesday at 01:23 PM Author Report Posted Wednesday at 01:23 PM Astros take a 7 game division lead with a 6-5 victory over the Rockies. Abreu striking out the side was exciting. Caratini with the grand slam early proved to be the game winner. Astros not scoring after the 3rd was a letdown, but a win is a win. AggiesAreWe 1 Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted Wednesday at 01:38 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 01:38 PM The Astros just had their BEST June in team history, going 19-7 with a .731 winning percentage. IN FACT, this was the 5th best record for a full month in ALL of the Astros history. baddog 1 Quote

navydawg31 Posted Wednesday at 02:34 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 02:34 PM No wonder everyone hates on the Astros, staters leave, starters are out still setting records and dominating. Quote

rupert3 Posted 13 hours ago Report Posted 13 hours ago Win again 5-3 Mariners win also. Still 7 up and 18 over 500. Hunter pitched well enough to win but wasn't exactly in line wit other starts and we finally gave him some much needed run support. Hunter now 9-3 Guillorme injured on 10 day IL now. Another one down. Quote
A BUC 77 Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago Wow, he hasn't played enough to get hurt. Quote
baddog Posted 7 hours ago Author Report Posted 7 hours ago Freeland starting for Colorado. This is what I found….. Freeland has a 5.56 ERA in the 2025 season, and Colorado has won just two of his 15 starts overall. The Astros will counter with lefty Brandon Walter, who has a 3.34 ERA in five starts with the franchise in 2025. Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Astros treated this day game as a "throw away" game. Used pitchers that haven't seen much action of late to rest some other arms. Houston loses 7-6 but still got the series win over Colorado. On to the Dodgers for a 3 game weekend series at Chavez Ravine. rupert3 and baddog 2 Quote
rupert3 Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago We'll see if they can handle Dodgers like we should. Quote
